I really like mexicalla rosas and when I'm over in the states I try to make sure we stop at the cracker barrel. I wish we had one here, it's so good I also love all the little family owned bakeries and delis in our city.

We've been trying a lot of new places lately so I'm sure we;ll find a lot of new favourites!

Boston area (MA): Legal Seafood, Charlie's Kitchen
Kansas City (MO): Arthur Bryant's Barbecue, Gates and Sons' Barbecue
Bitterroot Valley (MT): Nap's Burgers, Chang Family Chinese
Space Coast (FL): Meg O'Malley's Irish Pub, Cafe Unique

Cheesecake Factory - went once, don't think I could survive another experience. Practically everything is dangerous for my health (but SOOOOO damn good).

My favorite restaurant ever was called Nathan's, but sadly its not in business anymore. It was expensive but every single detail was perfect. Everything they put on the table we would exclaim continuously "Mmmm! This is so good!" One wall was covered with the plaques and awards the chef had won. So sad its not still open.

Probably if I went out to dinner more I would be able to report about excellent restaurants that still exist. It would be hard to top Nathan's though. There are lots of good restaurants, but not that many that are almost orgasmically fantastic.

It depends where I am. If I'm in Central Jersey, it's Rivoli's in Toms River, if I'm in South Jersey it's either the House of Blues or the Waterfront Buffet (and I generally can't stand buffets) in Atlantic City, if I'm in the city it's Chanpen Thai in Hell's Kitchen or Carmine's in the theater dist. - they make a really good anchovy sauce for Spiedini and that's hard to find anymore. The only thing I really like local to me is the chain Bonefish Grill.

The most recent restaurant to make it to my favs is actually this very small hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint, in Southside of Chicago, named Uncle John's BBQ.

Address: 339 E 69th St
Chicago, IL 60619

Word of advice: do not go there in the evenings, do not take the bus there (go there by car) and don't stay in the neighborhood for longer than necessary. Even so, the food is definitely worth it!

There are two local/independently owned french restaurants in my state that are by far my favorite restaurants in the state.

Flemmings steak house is pretty great food, expensive though. Except if you sit at the bar for lunch. You can only get burgers but their burgers are fab and majorly discounted at lunch. DELICIOUS.

We don't really have any restaurants where we live in teh sticks. The closest we have is 30 miles away and that's either Dixie Cafe, chili's, and Coltons. I prefer Dixie or Chili's.
