Oh. Well my favorite *shape* of pasta is rotini. They just have the best mouth feel. Radiators are all right as well.
I don't know if I could choose a favorite pasta dish, but the one I'm most likely to be making any given time I grab the rotini out of the cabinet is this tomato-water buerre-blanc with garlic, and basil if I have any. The author of the blog is kind of pompous, but he sure can cook, so I always try to skip his commentary but enjoy the food anyway. This one is so quick and easy, and incredibly tasty.

As far as the noodles go I have no preference, as far as sauce alfredo or anything cheesy is the best.

I don't know exactly why, but I really don't like elbow macaroni or regular pasta noodles...too plain I guess.

I like Penne (because I can bake it with veggies & cheese), as well as Fettucini. Fettucini Alfredo was my favorite dish ever as a kid. I think I ate it every time we went to an italian restaurant.

Penne and Orzo are my fave pastas. My favorite dish to make is chicken carbanara, just without mushrooms.

I had the best gnocchi of all time at a restaurant down the shore (NJ). I'd tried various places since then and it's never as good. So assuming I'll never have good gnocchi like that again, I'd have to say Penne a la Vodka. With some sundried tomatoes. Nomnomnom.
