When I was a junior in high school, I had to write a big research paper on phobias. A phobia, by definition is an irrational fear of something that is harmless that interferes with your daily life, not to be confused with fear, which is rational. I wonder what is the most popular one of them all. Mine is spiders, I can't stand them at all... looking at them, dealing with them, having them crawl on me. What's your phobia?
What is your phobia?

Heights the most.

I have Queunliskanphobia which is a phobia of saliva, if it is in excess. I can share drinks with people as long as they don't leave spit on the rim, and the best thing to do to gross or freak me out would be to threaten to spit on me or lick me LOL
I also am afraid of spiders (although I'm okay with them as long as I come to THEM and can even keep them as pets, but if they start crawling at me I panic)
I'm also afraid of heights and germs.

Public speaking is the worst! I've got plenty of other fears though

I'm afraid of death and public speaking, but I don't know if they are literally phobias just things I'm not looking forward to, lol.

Spiders and a long list of other creepy bugs, heights, closed in spaces (the smaller the space is, the more I may freak out), being outside alone in the dark, basements, death, tornadoes, flying and public speaking, also big crowds packed close together.

Not a big fan of spiders or closed spaces.

Spiders creep me out among other bugs. I feel really uneasy around heights get that sinking feeling. Scared to die! scared of swimming or being in deep water, like the Ocean, who knows whats down there.

I have tons of wierd phobias, such as reality not being real and people to whom I'm talking being not real and just actually an hallucination my subconscious created to cope with loneliness. I also have major social phobia. And I have the phobia that we all are actually dead and reliving our lives on repeat without having the choice to change anything, with the same results everytime, neverending cycle...
Maybe I should stop there, it makes me anxious.

Spiders except that my phobia is caused by having been bitten by a brown recluse. My system is intolerant of any spider venom (or was up to a few years ago) and I can swell up and be in extreme pain from even the most benign little spider bite. So I guess it's not a phobia in the strictest sense of the word.

I am moderately claustrophobic and also moderately agoraphobic...panic disorders rear their ugly heads for me often enough that I am on medication to manage the symptoms. The weird part is I am claustrophobic in cars but I can otherwise handle being in small cramped spaces so long as there aren't lots of people there.
I'm just weird!

Sometimes i'll be taking my shirt off and get tangled in it. I really have to take deep breaths or i'll freak out.
07/18/2012
A number of things on this list scare me or are gross to me, but I'd have to go with germs being my phobia. I wash my hands countless times a day and freak out if someone touches something I've just cleaned, even a family member.

Those 8 legged creatures of Hell itself. Relative joking aside, spiders send me into giant panic attacks.
07/18/2012
Spiders eek!

The dark. I just do not fair well in the dark.
11/24/2012
I'm uncomfortable with a bunch of those things, but the only one that really freaks me out is dying. I was never afraid of dying until I had children, now the thought scares me..a lot.

I beat my fears to the ground. Spiders and heights. For the first, become a camp counselor or a parent. You'll kill LOADS of spiders. Heights: go cliff jumping.
11/24/2012
im almost everything on that list

I don't know if it counts as fear or phobia (I guess it depends), but I'm most afraid of getting pregnant / giving birth. to the point where I think I should maybe see a doctor about it.
I would rather sit in a box with a billion spiders than get a positive pregnancy test. (trust me, I'm no fan of spiders either!)

None of those, but I hate worms, if that counts for anything, lol.

Most of these, and many more not listed. :/
