What made you smile today?

Contributor: Ansley Ansley
What grand and glorious or sweet and sentimental moment made you smile today? Or are you one who laughs when people run into glass doors? (Go on, you can admit it, schadenfreude has its place.)

One of my dogs giving his sister so many licks on the snout that she finally turned around, and had to rub back and forth on the (white) couch cushions to "dry off"!!!! We couldn't say "no" or "stop"...the whole thing was too cute.

We are not sure what prompted the "mooch fest", but it was cute none the less.

I work at a swim school right now as an administrative assistant. Today, one of my favorite little girls walked in, holding hands with her daddy (which was the first time I've seen her with anyone but her nanny). He came over to me, greeted me by name, shook my hand, and told me that he's been hearing about how nice I am from his daughter and wanted to meet me in person.

The girl is two years old.
He's a US senator.

I felt incredibly flattered and it just really made me happy.
Of course I smiled.

(Now if only this was a typical day... or if I hadn't briefly freaked out and forgotten to hand him my resume...)

Hearing my 4 month old son belly laugh and watching my 4 year old daughter ride her new bike with training wheels. Daddy daycare is where it's at.

I walked into the kitchen this morning to find Cujo (one of our cats) nonchalantly sitting in the sink. But before I could get a camera, he gave me this weird look and hopped right out.

Dammit, Cujo. XD

What made me smile today was being able to do a repair on my swimming pool by myself. Love being able to do things without paying the repairman(women).

Also smiled when I made joke at a new member's wall. That's her in the short skirt.
