What PERCENT of your income do you give to charities..if any.

Around the mid 50's, a majority of Americans of all faiths seemed to "tithe" about 10% of their income to religion or charity. I now hear that while a FEW give a lot,the majority of Americans give FAR less then that.

Do you think YOU give more or less then that? How do you feel about charitable giving??

I give with my time. I do give money to people who really need it. I have helped with medical bills, and other emergencies, but I feel my time does more good then my money in most cases.

I contribute here and there, but don't know the percentage. It wouldn't be 10% though because he doesn't make much money as it is and I'm on a very strict budget trying to make sure the boys have all their needs covered.
