100 as a passenger and driver. 'Twas fun.

120, Pretty much the coolest thing ever!

As a teen I did take an old jalopy up to 100 - just to say I did. I've never had a car that it was safe enough to take faster.

Mr. John
As a teen, I drove my newly purchased Mustang a little over 100mph. After purchasing a new sports car, during my mid life crisis, I drove in excess of 130mph. I suppose, looking back, I should be glad I wasn't on the Autobahn. I realize now though, just how lucky and stupid I was.

I am not sure but definitely not as high as everyone else that's for sure. I am not that daring.

Only on the highway I go about 80 to 100 back home when I used to travel back and forth between states, only because I knew where the cops hideout.

Not very fast, only 110 on Interstate 5 California, from San Jose to right around the Santa Clarita area.

The fastest that I have ever personally driven is about 86.something (140km/hr). The fastest vehicle that I have been in was doing about 120 on the Autobahn in Germany, and it was actually terrifying because it was this big old Volkswagen van and there were still people FLYING past us.

I've gone 90-100 on the interstate a few times

I am pretty sure it was up around 140 about as fast as I have gone. I personally have had some of my cars up to 120 that I can say for sure but I have been in some pretty fast cars. When your up above 100 even as a passenger you stop looking at any of the gauges. If you are racing you look down at oil pressure shift lights and the tach and when the race is over you look down at how fast you were going. Some race cars don't even have a speedometer.
A good friend of mine and I took a rented Cadillac DTS one night up to a road and ran it until the electronic governer shut it off then turned it back on then turned it off again LOL! That for sure was 120.
Another car that I was in we hit 115 and the governer shut it off and on about 6 times before we shut it down. And that was scary because it was an early cavalier.

the speedometer maxed out at 125, so somewhere around there.

My hubby and I just bought our 1976 Corvette and I really wanted to get on it and check out the top speed. I had it up to 123 on the freeway...after we had the engine rebuilt with high performance parts I took it out again and we got it up to about 138 on the freeway. I have the need for speed and a lead foot in our family--hubby just loves the ride.

95 as a driver and around 125 as a passenger.

90 something

100 once and it scared the crap out of me!
05/29/2013
hmmm prob around 80 on the highways, I don't even like going 50 on normal roads though lol
05/29/2013
100? Idk, I was a passenger and wasn't looking at how fast we were going.

I think 90 is the fastest I've ever gone, and that was when I was in college. I'm a chicken - I haven't gone above 80 in ages.

155mph I was a US Army soldier living in Germany. I purchased a rather fast US spec Volvo 850 turbo wagon and picked it up at Volvo headquarters in Sweden. Car and Driver or Road and Track tested the car (not actually mine but the same year and model) and asserted that it would go 155mph.
I regularly drove on the German Autobahn road system but found that driving that fast took far more concentration than I wanted to expend. Oh and btw, when driving that fast there's not really the luxury of looking at the speedometer. On the frequent 300 mile trips to Switzerland that my spouse and I made to visit relatives, I found that slowing down to 120 to 130mph I could maintain the required level of concentration for the entire trip rather than having to take a break.
Since coming back to the US I have not exceeded about 125 mph in any of the other cars I've owned since. My current ride is limited to 120, and yes I have tested that limit and it just won't go any faster.

I had a '69 Camaro with a speedometer that went up to 140 mph. I was never sure how accurate it was, but a couple of times I had the needle all the way to 140. It's practically a miracle that I never got killed, or even got a ticket, in that car.
And yes, I WAS driving like that to impress women!

120 as driver, 180 as passenger I think, the speedo is at a funny angle from that seat.

Wait a minute, I have to calculate. I guess it was 220 km/h so divide by 1,6 equals 137 mph.
05/30/2013
a little over 100 mph
05/30/2013
120 mph

I think just around 100mph? Going faster than that seems like it could be pretty fun, though.

100mp and it scared me crapless.
