What's your relationship with exercise?

I'll go through cycles of wanting to work out and actually doing it but then a few weeks or a month later I lose motivation.

Cut out regular soda: BOOM 15 pounds in 2 months (or less).
Soda is a majorly easy one.

Also, I was skipping breakfast a lot
And I'm also a late night eater

The way I keep from eating is... unless I'm starving... I distance myself from the kitchen and get too comfy to get up

No option for a few times a week. I picked a couple, but try to get in at least 4 days a week.

I've quit smoking almost two years ago. Soon I realized that I was gaining excessive weight. Since then I work out regularly. I voted a couple times per week, but it is actually 4 times per week, 1 - 1.5 hours each time. It's enough for me to keep myself in a good shape - not perfect, just good.

I hit Curves at least 4 days a week. I also walk my dogs quite a bit.

I am trying to get better at working out. I am horrible, but I am starting small by making sure to use the stairs up and down instead of the elevator, etc. But once it warms up more I will be walking almost everyday for exercise.

Noo, you can't make me...

Actually, I'd love to get back into yoga, but the only places near me seem to be 'hot yoga', which makes me nauseous.

I attend dance classes from time to time. Dancing is the best exercise for me

I do yoga pretty frequently, but it's rare that I stop and say "Ok, I'm going to take time to exercise today!" Just something I've never really been able to motivate myself to do.

Lol those answers are cute. I exercise, but not on a strict schedule. I actually do tan too lol, but laundry... well that's a diff story. I only do laundry when I'm having to wear the same clothes again! Lol.

I don't go to the gym, but I have several different workout devices. My favorite is my ab roller. It's this thing where you lay down and place your head on the pillow, put your arms straight up and grasp the bar and roll up like sit ups except it's much more powerful than a sit up! A few years ago when I first got it I started out doing 30 a day and my abs were sore each time. It's amazing how wonderful that thing is. I slacked off a lot, but still do them and my abs are still kind of there. I also have a few other things, but don't use them. I walk the track where the kids play baseball a lot too, but lately haven't had much time for that. I don't do any hardcore working out very often, but I keep myself in pretty decent shape. Swimming and chasing after the kids is a promising workout for me everyday though! Lol

I'm the kind of person that exercises regularly but stops all together after missing a day or so..it's like i get out of the groove of things & need someone to get on my case all the time.

I feel like if I didn't have a high metabolism, I would want to work out more. Right now I'm pretty active between nannying over summers and walking around school. Eventually I want to do pilates and/or weights regularly, but I'd just do it for a little toning and my overall health.

I'm the same way. I get started working out, get a schedule in place, start to results... and then stop for whatever reason. It's not until I've gained the weight back that I'll start it all over again 3 months later. I thought that getting friends to buddy up and keep each other accountable would help; but I've tried with with 3 friends and they all flaked out long before I did!

I did recently discover Zumba and LOVE it! I've been going on my own for a month now, so hopefully this will prove a long-term routine.

I walk everyday because I need to walk to get to buses and subway stops so that I can get to work. A few times I week I may walk more than normal and I count that as exercise because I usually walk around for a while.

Let's see, running is really bad for your knees, treadmills take up too much space and gyms give me the heebie-jeebies. Exercise tapes are frustrating because they move way too fast or way too slowly and I don't have the space anyhow. Sex is my exercise. And running my mouth. I get a lot of mileage in both.

I exercise 3-4 times a week unless I'm super busy. I love my treadmill!

I walk my poodle for an hour everyday, up a small hill to the park and down again. I consider that to be pretty good cardio, because I'm always huffing and puffing, and my legs feel like they're ready to cramp by the time I reach the park. I also do some stretching at night before I hit the shower.

But rather than hate I envy you. I get tired, both physically and mentally, very quick, so I don't exercise often...

I do walk a lot though, and try to take the stairs instead of the elevator just as long as I'm not in a hurry.

There wasn't an 'other'. I get a lot exercise from my daily chores and activities, but I also once in awhile go swimming. It's not something I think about or worry about.

I don't like gyms, so I work out at home and around my neighbourhood - though that's taken a back seat, as the woods where I do my running has been overrun by vegetation. A couple of times a week, which is less than I'd like.

I have bellydance class once a week which is a pretty solid workout most times, and I try to do a bit on my own at some point during the week as well.

If I'm going to work out I have to do something fun. I like yoga because of the flow of it. Makes me feel like I am doing something beautiful, not just working out. But the best work out I've found is dancing on my stripper pole! I highly recommend that anyone/everyone buy one. They are a LOT of fun and an insane workout!
