What was your first job?

Processing checks at a bank.

My first job was when I enlisted in the army..

But besides that, I was a cashier at walmart

I was a kitchen hand.

First paid job was walking ponies and horses for birthday parties with a small company. It was all paid for by cash, so I started with them when I was 12

My first legally held job was at a grocery store, age 15, I was hired as a cashier but had panic attacks from stress, so they moved me to produce to make fruit salads and stuff. I loved it, it was quiet, sorta cold in there and no one really bothered me. I stayed back there and cut case after case of fruit till it was time to go home.

Babysitting and then a CNA.

Dishwasher

Babysitter and Teacher's aide at a preschool.

McDonald's.

Teaching kids at one of those afterschool things (Kumon)

Other than babysitting and paper routes... I worked at a gas station lol

Dishwasher for a tea parlor. No actual dishwasher, just three sinks in a kitchen the size of my closet.

Aside from spending most of my teen years babysitting, I worked at Dunkin Donuts.

I was a "Mother's Helper" from the age of about 5 or 6 or so, then I did child care from about 10 or 11.

My first "job" was writing an Advice Column for teens for our local news paper. I was about 12 or 13.

At 16 I got a summer job at the park district at the Baby Pool. I would turn on the water in the morning and add the chlorine and fill the pool. Then I would spend all day telling parents they couldn't leave their babies and toddlers there alone, it wasn't a Day Care Center. It was a park! People would swear at me. We had a sign saying this but people don't read.

Why have kids if you need to dump them on others all the time? People would always try to sneak and leave their kids there. I would hold the babies until the cops came. Nice parents, huh? I finally starting telling parents that if they left their kids there without parents, we would call the cops and their kids would end up in the care of DCFS. Some people still continued to do it. WTF?

Age 13 - junior day care employee for one week.

Made me decide I NEVER wanted children. I gave my paycheck back to them and told them to rent a tiger cage for the little savages.
