The Forums are a perfect and extremely helpful area for those days when you should just stay in bed. Here, you can vent, ask for opinions or advice, deal with the things that went wrong by getting it out in the open. You know that you will not be judged, treated rudely or meanly, and that there are people here that honestly care about you and want to help.

They are also a wonderful and appropriate space to shout your good news. You can brag, hope, confess your feelings/excitement and celebrate one more wonderful time. You also know the members will be happy for you, will add their congrats, will celebrate with you and the fun, happy, encouraging posts are an amazing pick me up!!

So--talk to us, let us know what your opinion is, why it is that way and the cues you look for prior to answering a post of this type.

Based on my experiences here on the forum, I honestly do expect to read about a bad day or time period the OP has had. The need to vent is huge and the place to vent is where someone cares and will be supportive. So, yes, the Forum here at EF and the kind, caring and very friendly members here make this the perfect vent area.

I actually have different reasons for preferring both types of reviews!! I love reading about a persons great day--what went very right for them that day, and the happiness they are going through is very contagious. Sometimes I find myself needing a bit of that happiness.

I am also a huge nurturer. If I can possibly be there for someone and help lighten their load a bit with my friendship and undivided attention--then I am right there!!! i will only offer advice if I have some experience in the matter or can relate to the issue at hand that they are suffering with. There are many times that helping others with their issues also helps me to work through my own.

Lets keep our post going, if you need a shoulder, EF will have many friends for your tears and pain --- and if you want to raise a glass in celebration, well, EF will have many friends for that as well!!

Honestly.. the bad.
I love reading peoples good news as well, don't get me wrong. I'm always down to hand out a congratulations or a good luck... But lately life's been kind of shitty on my end, so it makes me feel less bad to read about someone else's life is quite shitty at the moment.

Perhaps I should start posting about the shittiest of days so I can cheer someone else up.
