the weekend after thanksgiving i put up the tree in my apartment.

Weekend after Thanksgiving here. I don't like celebrating (even by decorating) holidays when there's still another holiday "in the way." We shouldn't start Thanksgiving anything before Halloween, although I can understand just decorating for fall. Christmas however shouldn't be decorated for before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a holiday that deserves some recognition too.

I usually start some time after Thanksgiving, depending on what days I have off.

Not until after Thanksgiving. Usually first weekend in December.

After Dec. 8th. My daughters B-day is then and we figure it's not all that fair to her. The weekend after that is when the decorations go up.
