They must have a good reason to take the time to message me! If it's a casual 'following' or 'vote for me' people use walls, so I feel like messages are more important.

i almost always message back but i have gotten a frw creeps and i just dont respond. Most of the time if someone is just being friendly and want to make general conversation then im happy to chat.

It's more likely that I'm the one messaging people I don't know! Everyone has gotten back to me & that's part of the reason I feel so welcomed here

I always reply to messages & would feel rude if I didn't. However, I haven't gotten any weird ones, but I would probably reply to those as well, if only to ask them to stop.

It'd be nice if we could block all messages or just those from certain senders!

Nope, we (as in admins) occasionally send on-site messages. If one does not wish to communicate on-site, then one should not activate their messaging service.
