When were you first on the internet?

Contributor: Cat E. Cat E.
I didn't get a computer and internet access until the beginning of 2002 and I've been addicted ever since. What about you?

Edit: Sorry I screwed up the title of the post! It should say, 'when were you first on the internet?'

I believe it was in 1995 or maybe 1994. Either way, it was one of the two. My boyfriend at the time introduced me to ICQ, then AOL and the rest as they say, is history!

June 1997. I found the internet and also D/s and bdsm. That totally changed my life forever.

I had messed with the internet at friends' houses earlier, but I think we got online about '98 or '99. Yeah, late. My husband is not much for the internet, unless he wants to look something up.

1996, with AOHELL and "GET OFF THE COMPUTER, I NEED TO USE THE PHONE."

I do miss the connect-y noises though...

Around 97 they started taking out the type writers so we can learn on the computers. From there we started learning all there is to know about them even how to use the net.

Those were the days...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who still refers to it as AOHELL. But, man the chat rooms were awesome. Pagan Tea House ftw, yo!

1995--I had just started college and had to use a computer. I was 24 and terrified of the damn thing. Now I just want to shoot mine half the time. Thank God dial up is a thing in my past--AOL too!!

1993 or 1994, can't remember which. And we paid for Internet by the hour on our super fast 14k modem!

In the early 90's. Back when Prodigy and Blackboards were around.

I honestly don't remember a time in my life when we didn't have the internet. I know in the early 90's we used prodigy and my dad would help me play on it sometimes.

I'll have to ask him when he started using it. I've been on since I was a small child.

1994 I believe. My uncle fixes computer for the government, so I grew up with computers (or pieces) all over the house.
