When you have really "cleaned up" your house or apartment, do you want it to "smell clean" or do you want the smell to say "clean"?

I like a room that has a smell that tells you it's clean. Pine Sol baby.

Hubby prefers a room with a pristine lack of smell. That tells him it's "clean"

How about you?

Chemical smells and I don't get along.

I don't want anything to smell too strongly - that can make me nauseous or give me a headache. When I do normal cleaning, it ends up "smelling clean" afterwards automatically... so I don't go out of my way to make it "smell clean".

Honestly, when something smells super clean and perfume-y (a house, a car, whatever) I always wonder "what are they trying to cover up?" LOL

I just don't want my room to stink.

I don't like the smell of most cleaning products or air fresheners. I'd like there to be no smell, or a very VERY faint clean smell (like really aired-out febreeze, or baby powder or something)

I don't mind either way

Depends on the cleaner if it is a duster I have used or the stuff to mop the floor then I am fine with it. I can't do strong bleach smells an all that so I like when those go away. I use air fresher and things like that to make it smell clean and inviting as well.

I like a very subtle smell of cleaner or air freshener, but nothing overpowering.

I'd like it to be clean, but not the chemically clean smell (for the most part, some cleaners smell nice)

I don't mind a clean smell but prefer a pleasant one over a 'hospital' scent.

I have sensitivities and allergies to certain perfumes, so I buy unscented products or lightly scented products whenever I can. The bathroom is the only room I'll put an air freshener in, and I'm super picky about which one I get. That being said, I do love the smell of bath towels that have been freshly washed with a little bleach.

I don't really like my room to smell like anything. I tend to leave the window open.

Depends on what the cleaner smells like. I don't mind a lemon smell when the house is clean.

I clean and then do air freshener afterwards. The smell of cleaners is too chemical for me.

Depends what kind of smell.

I hate the smell of Fabuloso, this cheap mopping cleaner. It makes me feel like vomiting, literally

Some cleaners smells aren't bad, but it doesn't necessarily mean I like it (some Green ones I use/ certain Clorox greens, etc). Some are really appealing (Lysol linen). It all depends on what the kind is

Other because I can't stand the smell of leftover chemicals in my house. I do like a lemony scent left over, which is one reason I like to use lemon juice for cleaning (and because it has great cleansing properties).

I use Airwick/Glade/Febreeze , whatever is on sale at the time we buy them, and spray them every other day in the house and I always have either an incense going or a candle burning. We like the scents here where no matter where we go, there's always something disgusting smelling unless it's his parents or his sisters, they actually clean.
