We are traveling tonight. We came into a town for our first ever marathon run. We flew in and rented a car. Since we are just going to and from Hotel, we rented an ECONOMY class car...nothing TINY (don't feel safe to us) or BIG...no need, and we want ease of parking. However, we often get the least expensive SMALL car they have when renting. We know some folks always rent the BIGGEST SUV or a LUXURY CAR (even though they DON'T own one at home).

What do YOU rent when you get a rental car? Why?

I rent a car that is affordable. Not usually the cheapest out there, but usually something a couple of bucks more a day than the cheap economy cars. Why? Usually I am not traveling with more than my fiancee so I don't really need much more. I'd rather spend the extra $ on going out because I am renting because I am on vacation and I we are going to visit people/places.

I like to rent something that we will all be comfortable in. Last time we rented a Chevy Venture. SO much room, everyone had their own window. It was Heaven.

I always get the smallest available. I have bad side vision (there's a word but I can't spell it) and I can't drive big cars 'cause I run to the sides of the road. X.x
