Where do you prefer to do your clothes shopping? Goodwill ever?

I either go to the mall or Plato's closet. Plato's closet is a used clothing store that only takes really good conditioned and brand name clothes. Sometimes there clothing is limited to teens but there are still good deals.

Do you ever go to Goodwill? I just went there for the first time and omg they were so full of good quality brand name clothes. It looks like they were never worn. Maybe it is just the Goodwill near me but I thought it was awesome.

I mainly get my clothes from friends, or this really great clothing swap at my school. Outside of that, though, I have gone to goodwill a few times-Plato's closet is a bit expensive in my opinion, considering it's selling used goods.

I had worked at thrift stories (including Goodwill), and you'd be surprised at how much stuff comes in that still have the store tags on them. There are people who buy brand new clothes, stick it in the back of their closets, and forget they have it until they do a closet purge. And there are the ones who wear something a few times for one season, then donate it.

Thrift stores are where I get about 95% of my clothes, and with folks who don't wear their clothes much, I get really good deals on clothing that I could never imagine being able to buy at full price.

Goodwill--thrift stores, yard sales....

I love these for clothes shopping. Why pay full price for a designer outfit if they have them for pennies at these places? $2.00 pair of almost new jeans vs. $70 for same pair at store = awesome wardrobe for me!! Since I can take my budget and stretch it...will include accessories!!!

If I do shop for clothes (rare,) I shop at thrift stores.

I do shop at thrift stores. The Goodwill in my area is actually really expensive. I've seen some jeans in there for almost $30. If I was going to pay $30 for a pair of American Eagle jeans, I'd buy a new pair on clearance.

There's a local thrift store in town that's MUCH cheaper. All of their clothes are under $3 regardless of brand or condition, except for wedding dresses. Wedding dresses are usually $50.

Plato's Closet is cool, there's one in my city. I get nice stuff from them sometimes.

Every so often I shop at Goodwill, but Plato's Closet isn't really my style.

This whole thread reminds me of that Macklemore song, Thrift Store.

I ADORE goodwill. I do a lot of shopping there. I think the people who work there are starting to recognize me and my love of leather jackets.

I LOVE Goodwill and thrift stores in general. My best find ever was probably a brand new Betsey Johnson dress for $3. I also go to Target, T.J.Maxx, Marshall's and sometimes Burlington Coat Factory for clothes.

I do most of my shopping at Nordstrom Rack (I'm slightly addicted) and T.J. Maxx. There isn't a convenient Goodwill location anywhere near me.

I have a new-found love for thirft stores, including Goodwill. If you can get to one in a "richer" town or city, do it. Total jackpot sometimes.
