Whining: oh, dear goodness, I wish I weren't broke.

Okay, so. I'm waiting for Jamba Juice to give me a call back to see if I'll be employed. In the meantime, though, I'm so agitated. I get kind of frustrated browsing EF and looking at all the lovely things I want, but not being able to afford them.

Anybody else have this problem?

Me too. I have to limit what I get to points right now. I hope soon I will have extra spending money. Hubby just got a new job.

Ugh, it's awful! Especially since I just have one toy, at the moment. One toy that I actually really don't like. So I'm waiting until my assignment - the "Mono" - arrives. Hopefully I'll like it better than the toy I have now.

Are you applying to other places besides Jamba Juice? I would recommend to get in as many applications as you can. I know how frustrating it is to be unemployed and not have money for bills, let alone fun money. Fortunately I have a job now, even though it's not the part of the country my hubby and I really want to live in. Anyway good luck finding a job soon!

I actually wasn't even really looking for a job until this JJ thing came up. My mom said they were having a job fair and I went. I've had three intviews already (the last one said he's positive I'll be hired, he just doesn't know what location it will be in yet), but I have to wait this week to see if it'll really come through.

I agree with bg. When I decided to close my private practice and look for an outside job (the economy and certain marketing practices within my specialty made it impossible to make a profit in purely private practice) I applied for many jobs, many of them overlapping.

You can always say no if an other job comes along, but many places don't always follow through on their promises at an interview. I looked for nearly 2 years in the depth of the Recession, and even with several degrees and a professional certification and license, it took this long.

I wouldn't pin your hopes on one application, it could happen, but the job market has changed radically since the damages the Bush Administration caused and there is really no such thing as a "sure thing" during an interview.

I'd apply other places. In this economy, unless you're home with small children and have a partner to support all of you, you will need to work.

Good luck.

Yep, my husband and I both have jobs.... we're basically broke, too. But, it would be much worse if we weren't working. At least something is coming in to take the tops off of the bills.

My husband works, I don't but we get by. I get enough points and sales to be able to spend a little each month on fun stuff. We do not eat out much or go to movies so that is our recreation budget.

My hubby just got his job July 27, 2011, before that he was unemployed for 2 years. I could not work because I was pregnant, breastfeeding, and that man won't change diapers, so I could not get a job. After he paid his ex wife child support, we got a whole $248.00 a week. It took two checks to pay for rent and one check to pay the house bills. Luckily the state gave us extra help. He was searching for jobs, but no one called him until he got the job in July. We were so poor it was ridiculous. We are so grateful that now he has a job. We are working ourselves on up.

There are so many opportunities available on EF to earn points, GCs, and free toys, you just have to be persistent and take advantage of all of them.

Once you become an Advanced reviewer, you can request monthly free assignments. Also be sure to check the manufacturer sponsored assignments as they are first come first served. You can do a many as you like as long as you don't already have an outstanding assignment.

Write articles for Eden Cafe, make video reviews, etc. All of these activities earn GCs.

Participate in Clubs. Many have GC giveaways at their meetings.

The better your reviews, the more active you are in the community, and to a degree the higher your rank, the more opportunities you have to earn.

I'm jobless, but like Kindred said there's a lot you can do.
Luckily, I see some things and I don't really feel the need to have them right away. My boyfriend is in MD, I'm in Texas sooo yeah. Not much action going on here, but I do like some pretty lingerie every now and again. Good luck to you! We all need it!
