So while you have people who don't work there's also all the folks who work at night.

While I tend to agree with you (I too am in a line of work with 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am shifts) and thus expect people to be out a little before and after those hours, but in mid-day, I would expect those on "graveyard shifts" to be sleeping??? I know I would be.
