we both do. Just depends on who is home and who worked all day.

For us, it really depends on what's going on. Sometimes my wife does them. Sometimes I do them. I always do the cooking, though. That poor woman could burn water.

Its a trade off in my house. Who ever doesn't cook does the dishes that night. Just like he is charge of keeping the bathroom and living room clean while I do the kitchen every night and the master bedroom. I end up doing more like all laundry and full blown scrubbing and organizing but I also work part time so I have more free time for cleaning (that and I actually like doing it)

It's a rare but beautiful site when my husband does the dishes. I usually do all the cleaning in the house, but he helps by keeping things picked up. And dishes are done by hand here. My kitchen is approximately the size of a cracker box, and we don't have any room for a dishwasher. I'd love to have one though!

It's a shared chore.

I rinse food scraps off the dishes and pots/pans first, then my husband washes them by hand -- we don't use the dishwasher often.

There are a few factors that go into that. We generally share cleanup in some form or another. If one of us has been working a lot then the other might take more of the share. If one of us is extra tired or feeling down then the other would probably just do it. One person might do the dishes while the other person does living room cleanup. If one of us has to go to work right after then the other does it.

It's a joint effort in our home while still taking into consideration the needs, feelings and capacities of the other.

Well the four of us try to alternate but my parents have always had the rule that the person who cooked doesn't have to clean up. Somehow, even though I've made every dinner this month, I've ended up doing the dishes the most

It's suppose to be our daughter. She has very few chores, but can't seem to find the time to do them. It's a source of friction around here.

When I am living with my partner, we take turns. One of us has a dishwasher, and the other doesn't. At home with my parents, my dad does that majority with the rest of us helping out upon occasion.

I live alone. It's me. I don't have a dishwasher and I do them by hand. Even when I lived in an apartment that had a dishwasher, I would hand wash. Dishwashers take longer because you have to rinse, load, wait, and dry them off and unload. Idk. Also I hate doing other peoples dishes and touching peoples half-eaten food. It's gross.

We share the responsibilities in my house, so everyone gets to take a turn or works together.

When i'm at my partners i usually end up doing the dishes, mostly because they work often and i don't have much else to do during the day aside from read and spend time with the pup. However i will make them finish up some of the dishes if i didn't get them all done.

I do them all unless I get really cranky and ask for help. I usually do them at night a few hours after dinner.
