Who owns a Keurig Coffee Machine?

Contributor: PassionQT PassionQT
I'm eyeing the B60 at the local warehouse club for 129.99. It has the timer, adjustable temperature, 3 cup sizes, and comes with 60 K-cups and the extra My cup to add your own coffee.

Anyone own a Keurig? What is your opinion of it? How's the coffee?

We have that particular machine in our office. We use it to make about 50-80 cups a day so each machine only lasts about a year, but ours is on a rental contract so that's ok. That machine isn't meant for that volume but it fits in our office kitchen - I haven't heard of any others dying or malfunctioning. I personally don't drink coffee but it's by far the favorite of everyone in our office - most of my coworkers have one at home now too. My ex-husband and I had one from when they first hit the market and it's a great machine, I have no complaints as to its functionality, design, etc. And although I don't drink coffee, it makes excellent iced tea w/ the new Celestial Seasonings iced tea k-cups.

I think we'd like it for Ice-tea a lot too!

I don't own one, but I use my grandmother's frequently and she uses hers every day. She loves it, as do I. It's easy to use, the coffees are flavorful, and very *very* fast.

Beyond that, the KCup refills are reasonably priced.

Everyone in our family uses one but me, and the only reason I don't yet have one is because I don't drink hot coffee.

They are seriously awesome. I think the k-cups are kind of pricey, but we have both the pod adapter as well as the filter, and it makes a wonderful cup of coffee. Turning me into a coffee snob, for sure

We have one in the office, and it definitely is convenient. The only thing that bothers me is that all those little plastic cups aren't recyclable.

I have had used them in various hospitals that I worked in and love the convenience and the coffee is real good. Until this thread I would not buy one due to the price of the cups, for 16 cups of coffee I could be kept in coffee for a couple of months.

Sooo, could someone tell me about the filter and pod adapter? How do they work, are they just like a regular filter?

There is one of the big Keurig Machines in the EF break area, and Victoria loved it so much that she got one for her office... and then I got jealous and had to get one too! They are so awesome!

Yep, we love our Keurig Mini's. I just need to start ordering my K-cups online instead of being at the mercy of whatever Target or Giant has in stock!

I think Carrie Ann is considering getting one directly hooked up to her.

When I used to work security at a major pharm. company, they had them scattered throughout their campus (yeah, huge place). I loved them so hard!

I have that one, I actually bought it from Sam's too Except mine didn't come with the "my cup" so that's a bummer..I actually want to get that!

I LOVE mine, the coffee is phenomenal...I actually prefer it over getting coffee out, so even though the coffee is more expensive than regular ground coffee it saves money. There are iced tea, tea, hot chocolate, and cafe mocha pods for it too that are pretty tasty. The selections of coffee are endless too, especially if you order online..and there is usually specials for ordering online too.

Only downside was that I got even more addicted to coffee after I got my keurig!! Oh and I've had mine for about a year and a half now, not a day goes by that it's not used..and it's usually used a few times each day and it's still going strong

You basically just pack them like you would a regular coffee filter and then put it in the spot where the kcup would go. I don't have one but I've looked into them because I do want to get one..I love when the holiday coffee flavors come out and it's not always easy to get those for the kcups.

Thank you Alicia, I want one real bad now. The price of the cups is the only reason I do not have one now.

Yea the cups can get costly, but I go out and buy coffee from starbucks and stuff very rarely now, so the 50 cents per cup doesn't seem so bad if I think about it that way

SAME! I just buy the flavored coffees or flavored creamers to add in, and add some delicious grounds to the pod, and voila!

My parents used to have one and I secretly loathed it with all my being. All that packaging seems wasteful and I just don't know how it improved on a regular coffee machine. It's crazy crazy expensive, too! Just not worth it, imo.

We like it, but ended up buying a couple of refillable k-cup style containers, so we could use our own coffee. That said, the Keurig has allowed us to still enjoy a cup of java in the morning without feeling like we have to finish the pot, as we did with our previous maker.
