Okay, sex is very important to my husband and I. With that being said, I work 50-65 hours a week in my career. Rarely, there are times that I am just too exhausted and my body hurts too bad to even be touched. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. My husband understands and never makes a big deal about it. Do any of you work physically-demanding full-time jobs? If so, how often does this happen to you?

My job isn't physically demanding but it's very cerebral and can zap a lot of my energy when I'm working on mega-projects. He's pretty understanding about it and his job is really physical. Last night was one of those nights. I didn't sleep well the night before, he had a really hard day and so at the end of the night we just cuddled and fell asleep instead of doing what we'd normally do: each other. I don't start to freak out until it's been more than three days since the last time we were intimate. By then, I'm grumpy and start demanding things.

I'm a full time grad student and trying to finish my thesis right now, so I don't have time to work. I do have back problems with can prevent me from doing much of anything at times. So because of the amount of pain I'm in we can't have sex. My bf understands this and doesn't have a problem with it. I'm never happy that I can't have sex because my back hurts.

It can happen to me as well. But when I have a very convincing and motivated partner, I usually and up too tempted to resist and it gives me the little boost I need.

Usually when I am really tired, the sex helps me to sleep better and sometimes after a really bad night at work I really want that intimacy. It doesn't always happen though because he doesn't feel well.

It happens sometimes. Either my back will end up killing me or I'm just too tired to want to move. Ever since I switched to days from working closing shifts it has happened less often, though. I have more time to recover when I get home.

work never hurts my sex life, but my wife will be too tired from work to have sex some nights. I think it is just an excuses, since she only works 15 hours a week, and it is not that demanding of a job. But I never push it.

My job isn't very demanding, but there are times where other things in life can wear me out and make me too tired to be in the mood.

I don't work a physically demanding job, but I'd say everyone feels too tired for sex at some point. I think it's normal; we're human and can't be ready to go 24/7.

since I am the person who usually initiates sex, so I make the call, and generally when I'm tired I will skip it. It's a nice position to be in, actually, I never have to turn anyone down.

It's been a decline for us the last couple of months. Everything has been hectic and we can't muster the energy. We still find time, but it's down by at least 40%.

My husband works full time and he seems to always be too tired or so. Lately, the past few months since or second son was born its been going down hill but hopefully since we have our own place our sex life will start coming back up like it use to be

When we have time together, we just don't care to waste it. We are both very "physical" together. I understand what you are saying, but in our case, if one of us is just exhausted, we tell the other to "have their way" as they wish. I can still just lay there, do nothing, and enjoy the fact HE is enjoying himself in me, or vise versa.
