Would you let another person right a review using your account?

Contributor: sweetiejo sweetiejo
So my boyfriend has been mentioning writing a review. He doesn't have an account, but should get one. But it made me wonder would anyone let you other half write a review on your account?

Hubby sucks at writing. I wouldn't want him spoiling my review track record. LOL. If there's a toy he used that needs reviewing, I ask him questions and write it up myself.

I hadn't thought of doing that, but I do have to give my guy credit he is one hell of a writer. He would probably beat my reviews hands down.

Can't say I would. It's not exactly hard to sign up, and I wouldn't really want someone else's work appearing on my page, even if they explicitly stated in their review that they were not me.

I have let my husband write partial reviews on a couple of products, but I finished them up. A his/hers review. I am thinking of making him get his own account, however, he rarely wants to write a review so we are discussing it.

No I wouldn't let anyone else use my account to post anything!

If he wanted to do a his/hers review occasionally, I'd share my account. But if he wanted to become a regular reviewer, I think it'd be better if he had his own account.

So far, he'd rather play with toys than write about them.

Depending on the item to review, I might let my hubby write parts of it, but that would be it. I would never allow anyone to write a review for me.

No I don't think it's necessary!

It would feel to intrusive, not to mention likely to be against the rules.

No i'm a control freak and want to make sure its perfect. He can tell me his input and I will include it in my review but I have a way of wording my reviews that I like.

It's stupidly easy for anyone to get an account and begin writing their own reviews! I want everyone to know that when my name is on a review it's actually me talking...but I am a control freak and I am well aware of it.
Sigel does have an account but has been WAY too busy to write. The temptation is to just listen to him and then write for him but he feels the same way I do...he wants to be the one writing the review!

Nope. I get input on many reviews from my partner, so his thoughts will often end up in there... but someone else writing an entire review on my account? No way!

No! If a boyfriend wanted to write a review, he can get his own account. Or we could open one specifically for our joint reviews. But I'd like to keep mine for me.

No way! Never! I don't trust anyone to write as good as a reviwe as I would. And besides, it wouldn't be honest to the readers if someone else wrote under my name.

My boyfriend wanted to do his/hers reviews, so he opened and maintains the account and we write reviews together for it. I'd feel a little odd just letting someone write something under *my* name.

My wife and I kinda work together on the reviews. However, if she were to do the review on her own I would probably want to specify for clarity's sake.

no just because I've made the effort to write the reviews on my account and I wouldn't want someone else's writing to distract

I don't like anyone else's work having my name on it, good or bad.
