Would you work extra hours every day, to have a THREE DAY WEEKEND, every weekend?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
We have people who work THREE 12 hour shifts and then a four hour shift, thus giving them ONE "half day" and a three day weekend...every weekend. Would YOU work that kind of shift if given the choice?

My husband used to work Sat-Mon and was off the rest of the week when he worked for a large grocery store distribution center loading their trucks. 6am to 6:30pm.

I used to have this option at an old job, but never took it.

At my current job, the hours are always different, so I don't always get 2 days off in the same week depending on how busy we are.

I think I'd take it. Three days in a row sounds good.

I would if it was a possibility at my job, mainly so I could devote 1 day to my tests and such for homework. As it is right now I work late on Thursdays and leave early on Fridays.

Hell yes esp when we are currently only able to see each other on the weekends right now.

I'd rather take 4 10-hour shifts and have a three day weekend.

I have the option of working four 10s. Have done it before, but don't now.

I'd rather take a part time job that gives me 3 to 4 days off per rotation. Working 10 hour days is HELL.

I think I'd rather work 5 days a week and get 2 off. This way I can at least get home to spend some time with my kids. If I had to work later on days then I wouldn't have as much time with my kids and the one extra week day I would get off wouldn't help much because one of my kids would still be in school most of that day.

Given that my future job will likely include 60-80 hour work weeks, of course I'd take that kind of schedule!

Every chance I get I work four 10 hour days. That way I still get home at a decent time and have an extra day off. The extra 2 hours are not near as bad as having to get up and go to work a whole day. Too bad they don't let me do this every week.

I work 10 hour days, so I always get a 3 day weekend. unless there is some overtime I have to do.
