I have both the 360 and PS3 as well as PC. So for online gaming I choose the 360, for good exclusives the PS3, and for MMOs and more complex games the PC.

360. More friends there. Xbox live is way better then what the PS3 has. The only thing that the PS3 has over the 360 is the blu ray player

I have had most consoles besides the Playstation 2/3, and currently have a 360. I would never go Playstation, as the 360 has more of the games I like. I want to get the new Halo CE 10 year anniversary edition, but dread the cost just to get the original game remastered.
Otherwise, I have to say computer is my second choice. Played a little too much Star Wars Galaxies and World of Warcraft, and it is going to be difficult not to play Star Wars: The Old Republic when it comes out.

I've always been a Playstation person, up until the PS3. Don't get me wrong, it's a great system, and doubles as a Blu-ray player. But there really aren't that many games I want to play for it, and playing online is nothing compared to playing online with an XBox 360 (though I suppose some of that depends on what game you're playing). I also much prefer achievements (360) over trophies (PS3).
The only thing (and this is a MAJOR thing) that I hate about the 360 is the fucking red ring of death. My ex and my 360 died from it, then the second replacement one died from it. My ex's brother's died from it. My boyfriend's died from it. All this means I have no 360 to play. And that pisses me off. I have a PS3 to play, but I would much rather play a 360.

I've only ever experienced that once, myself. Not a big gamer, personally, though I am slowly getting into it, with the release of more story oriented games. They're just like the interactive movies I was promised as a kid!
