we just bought our first house me and the husband have been married ofr 6 years and always owned our own mobile homes and being able to purchase our own house was one of the best accomplishments ever!

I rent a duplex with my two partners. It is a bit small for us, but works alright for now.

House in the summer, dorm during the school year - you need an "other" option for college students, and assorted other folks in varied living situations.

Sorry about leaving out other. Congrats on the first home!! I wish I lived in a home. That's one of my dreams... living in a real house. It sounds so silly. It doesn't even have to be a big fancy house. Just a house. I've only lived in a mobile homes, and apartment complexes. Right now we have a tiny studio.

When we got our house together, we went for extra space. Thankfully we found the perfect place that has plenty of bathrooms--a must! And two extra rooms, one for my office (and my pole right in the middle! Ha Ha) and one for plain ol' sex everything. Also, the bedroom has a little hall way like thing leading to a bathroom and there's plenty of room there for extra drawers/dressers. I'm taking serious advantage of all this space. There's also several crawl space things that have tons of room!

I probably wouldn't ever even fit all my junk in an apartment, unless it was the world's biggest. Lol. I like space for my crap and because I like to have options, places to escape.

We built our own small house on land given to us by his parents (oh the joys of living next to your inlaws)and it was completed in 2003. I wish we had thr money to expand on it because it's getting cramped with 4 of us now, but we weren't thinking ahead.
