Your "weird" interests?

What things are you interested in that would surprise people? Hieroglyphics? Rare rocks? Norse mythology? Not counting sex toys, obviously!

I think the sex toys would be one of the only things that would actually surprise people since I'd guess I appear to be fairly child-like and "asexual" to others.

I don't think any of my interests are really weird. Maybe uncommon, but nothing super-cool or anything. I collect antique clothing and have an extensive knowledge of historical menswear and patternmaking in general, but I wouldn't call that "weird".

What would be unusual to others is normal for me, and people aren't surprised by my interest in it. So I can't say that anything I do would surprise anybody.

Wait, I just remembered. I got a shock of silence when one of my friends found out I do photoshoots with ball gags and wrist restraints. They never expected me to be into bondage.

Mainly astrology. I have a "weird" habit of trying to connect seemingly unrelated things---especially numbers.

I think the only thing I've managed to do that's "shocked" anybody in the last decade was when I had a relatively traditional wedding, lol. As for weird interests, I read a lot about serial killers and stuff like that. It's always fascinated me.

I don't have any wierd hobbies. I guess I'm pretty boring besides my finding the g-spot and quest for the big O. I used to collect baseball cards as a kid and still have them. I also used to collect stamps as a kid b/c my 5-6 grade teacher got us interested in it. But I don't do that anymore either.

It is so fascinating. I watched a special on the brain the other day on H2, they were trying to figure out what is so different about a sociopath's brain that makes them not feel remorse for their crimes. Joel Rifkin was one of the men they interviewed and he's just like "I don't think I ever really felt guilty, well maybe once or twice but it didn't last long". Evidently, the region of the brain that is responsible for guilt and empathy is smaller than a "normal" brain and doesn't talk to the frontal lobe in the same manner. The same goes for people who are able to swindle people out of their life savings---but they have more empathy for being physically hurt than serial killers.

Most of my hobbies are "weird", I own an extensive library on Demonology, Angelology, Mythology, and Cryptozoology. I've listed my "person I most look up to" as Alexander the Great since grade school. I think about the only normal things I do are cook and sew.

I have a lot of interests, architecture, especially Frank Lloyd Wright, the practice of medicine and its history, certain parts of the paranormal (I love a good ghost story) History, especially the Victorian Age, the "Sense and Sensibility- Pride and Prejudice" (Mr. Darcy!) age and parts of the Renaissance, abnormal psychology, the Beatles and the other English Invasion bands of the 60s, the entire hippy movement.

I don't think anyone would be surprised or would think it was weird. I've long ago given up bringing things up in certain company just to try to impress people with my oddities. Everyone seems to have odd interests. Most people are more interesting than they look at first glance.

LOL! I think our relatives though we were going to get married barefoot by a Medicine Man on a mountain top or something, and we had a fairly traditional wedding, too. I can relate.

I used to do a lot of "Ripperology" but I've kind of grown away from it. I had a fascination with Bonnie and Clyde last summer, though. I think they were what all White Trash aspires to.
