New to this - what should I start with?

Contributor: NewToYou NewToYou
I've never used any toys before...other than a a vibrating bullet, and I'm not sure where to begin. I have an open mind and willing to try anything once. This site is a bit overwhelming and I'm not sure where to go or who to contact for some direction. What should I start with?

For starters--Welcome to Eden!! I really like meeting the new people and love seeing how many are joining.

It really depends on you and your preferences--toys are one of those things that the same combo never works for everyone else. I enjoy a huge variety of different items and would be happy to help you, message me if you still have questions.

You can start with reading some of the reviews and making your selection based from other member's experiences that you may like.

Welcome to Eden! We definitely suggest picking up a mentor if you're interested in reviewing. If you'd like to know more about that, don't hesitate to ask any one of the staff or community members. We only bite when asked.

Thank you for the welcome. I believe that I too will enjoy a variety of items because I can get bored quickly. Reviews are daunting and looking at the number of products offered...well I must sit for a day and research each one!

A mentor sounds helpful, as I am a novice in this respect. Biting is completely allowed. How do I go about acquiring a mentor?

Go to the Community page and scroll down to the lower part. There is a list of available mentors and you can read a bit about their specialties, get one that has the same interests as you are wanting to learn. Then apply to be their student. You might have to do this a couple of times before you get one that is able to accept you. I would have loved to be your mentor, but am not going to have an opening until around the 15th of Aug. If you do not find one by then, let me know and I can keep the space open for you.

Welcome to EF there are many different routes you can go for toys, really all depends on what you are interested in. My first toy was a simple traditional vibe which not long after I moved to a rabbit vibe. You came to the RIGHT place to ask for help Good luck on your search

welcome to EF
I'm still new myself - I joined around the middle of this month, I think.
the site has been quite a challenge for me too, so when I get to that "challenge" point, I try to stop whatever I'm doing & just play - look at all the toys & learn about them & learn about what I want. I've tried several toys which has also helped me get focused on what I really enjoy
I have learned how to do things & navigate the site through trial & error w/ many hours logged in plus a few brave souls have been so kind to help me
I love it when others so willingly help me
message me & we can chat if you'd like - I could probably share some useful tips w/ you

I am new too and have found the site very confusing so far. Other than how easy it is to search for items everything else has been a challenge to try and figure out.
