Where did your login/alias come from?

So, origin stories?

Although mine is like a real name, I can assure you I was not so blessed. I chose Adriana as a name which was just sexy and appealed to me. Ravenlust is a play on another pseudonym I have used online, too. Actually, my husband came up with it. d=

Well, Dragon Ball is one of my favorite anime, and I've always liked the name Bulma. I wanted something that was completely different from my online gamer alias, and Bulma is pretty far from being similar to it. Plus, I wanted something memorable, not sexykitty69 (sorry if that is someone's alias) or anything like that.

I told you where mine came from a while ago, so I'll just copy and paste it in to here:

My mother is a very religious woman from the country, so she uses a lot of slang from the German-American countryside. She always called pre-marital or "dirty" sex "boohooing." So I got the name from her saying, "You kids and your backseat boohoo!" when I mentioned something about people having sex in cars.

Kinda cute, when you think about it! =D

Fiona Apple's song Sleep to Dream.. I love her, she's a gifted songwriter and absolutely inspirational. It kind of morphed its way into Sleeping Dreamer about 9 years ago and I've been using it as an alias since.

"Dame Demi" is actually a take-off of the online alias I've used for 17 or 18 years now. It always cracks my friends up when they hear it because it's got such a dominatrix flavor...

Contributor: Jimbo Jones Jimbo Jones
Jimbo Jones is a character on the Simpsons who is one of the bad kids that bully other kids on the playground and what not. I use it as my alias because I get to reveal some of my bad side online that most people that know me in real life would be very surprised to find out. I have used Nelson Muntz (another bully character on the Simpsons) before as well, but I think Jimbo Jones suits me better.

Mine actually feels too obvious now, but oh well. I love the color pink and I've had pink hair on and off for the last almost 20 years...so there's that, and the double entendre being the idiom 'In the pink' meaning "in good health" or "in perfect condition" and some may venture to say "pink" refers to slang for pussy...so there's that too..anyway, yeah, there ya go. Oh, while writing this little origin, I looked up the origin of the phrase itself and it's interesting how the word pink was once used...read here link, if you're so inclined

I hate being called a girl... especially at my age. I'm really a southern lady - accent and all. My grandmother's family founded a prominent Southern town, antebellum mansions, the whole deal. But there is often an idea that southern ladies are stuck up and miserable... and well.... I'm Happy!

Started as "DevilBlueDress." That was a nickname. Mostly because of how much trouble I seemed to cause my husband, and maybe a few other men watching me while I was dancing. Sometimes- in blue. Often not, but blue is my favorite color. Changed to DBD when my kids eventually caught the name.

The avatar is me- with some photo magic. I went to a party with a hood. I made a mask out of the robe. Then added special effects.

LOL. You found sex toys when you FIRST got married? What's up with that? I found sex when I first got married. Masturbation IN FRONT OF HIM, when I was pregnant. Sexual fantasies involving others some time later. Oh... Sex toys close to 20 years into our relationship.

In some ways, I must be so damn naive. In others.... You'll never, never catch me! (*sticks out tongue and runs naked across dance floor!*)

It's a name I originally concocted about 12+ yrs ago. Other aliases have taken root with me more strongly over the years, and thus this one has been left to the wayside. I revived it for this site because I felt that the name would be appropriate as in reviews there's often a little "wordplay" involved. (Though on here there's a lot of other play going on as well.)

The "123" actually means more to do with something being as easy as "ABC's" or "123's".

Contributor: Fun Lover Fun Lover
My doctor uses the word fun instead of sex. My wife and I love sex so that is where fun lover came from. The avatar came from us being older than most reviewers 50 +, we have found that sex is like fine wine it gets better with age. We won't stop until it kills us.

Haha. Yeah. Got my first cheap vibrator when we were still dating, but I found Eden a couple months after we got married (a little over a year ago). I'm definitely glad I did. I mean, 20 years without sex toys...eek!

But yeah, I'm sure there are many ways I'll never catch up to you. You're awesome!

Mine is simply ambiguous and is so for a reason .

However, I wanted something "normal" sounding because I think a lot of the general public has somewhat of a stigma on sex toys and sexuality in general sometimes and , so I wanted to say that we aren't a buncha freaks :-P, we are all normal people too.

I call my boyfriend Muff/ Muffy it came from the cheesy nickname muffin. He calls himself Dingu when he's gaming and stuff, so we've always joked that I'm pingu. The love part is pretty self explanatory.

Hey, Bulma, the character's name is a joke on underwear, too! 'Bulma' is a brand of gym shorts in Japan (the REALLY short ones that girls wear).

My name is a TMI sort of situation ... When Mulder and I began our affair (this was after I just seperated from a celibate ten-year marriage), we noticed that I bled a lot the first month after our trysts. So much so, in fact, that we had to make use of his kid's waterproof pad under us so I wouldn't ruin his sheets.

(For the record, my GYN says that nothing's wrong with me, just my body getting used to finally having sex - says that there are lots of capillaries in the vagina and they break when the vagina is finally used, especially if the woman is small inside to begin with. And, I must admit, Mulder has quite a girth on him.)

Back to the name - after an evening of fun, we took the pad into the bathroom with us to clean as we normally did, and he commented, "You bled in the shape of a pepper!" Truthfully, due to the lessening of bleeding and how I had laid on the pad, it really was in the shape of a pepper. Being that nobody else would ever hear of this story (well, people we personally know), 'Chilipepper Girl' became a nickname, and this is ONLY place I use this alias.

I said it was TMI.

So my name has a fairly nerdy origin. My friends and I used to be really into Harry Potter, so we did the whole Sorting thing and whatnot. I, much to my surprise, was consistently sorted into Slytherin. Since I'm probably the least evil out of all my friends, we decided that I was a nice Slytherin... except J.K. Rowling never talks about nice Slytherins. EXCEPT... given that Sirius Black was the first Black to not get sorted into Slytherin, and his cousins are older than him.... and given that Andromeda eventually married a muggle... yeahhhh you can see where this is going lol

GN is an abbreviation for my usual online name (which came from being totally self absorbed, if we're being honest) and Genie because I'll grant your wishes if you rub me the right way.

Kidding! I don't know where I got Genie from.

I used to watch Blue's Clues with my sister (I watched it for Steven Burns ) and I adored the condiments family--Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, and Baby Paprika. I couldn't imagine Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper ever teaching their daughter the basics of condiment procreation, so I made up Miss Cinnamon, who was the epitome of the cool older sister/cat-lady aunt you can always depend on to give you the straight facts about sex.

And before you ask, NO, I never wrote Blue's Clues fanfiction. That's just crossing a line o_O

Miss Cinnamon was also the drag name I chose when I was super-obsessed with drag queens in high school.

There is no part of this story that is not ridiculous. I apologize.
