There is one store that is 'somewhat' on my way home from work that usually has nice and friendly chicks working who are very helpful. This helps offset the creepy lurkers you find around there. I sometimes like to go to that store to check out a toy personally, but I haven't been to it in a couple years.

I use to when I use to live in the cities but then I moved to no-man's land and the one sex shop that exist closed down little over a decade ago. One thing I learned about shopping online vs. in person at a store is you normally have a much much bigger selection.

Never, unless we count lingerie. There isn't a dedicated sex toy store in my town (hurray bible-belt) and the one "adult" store we have is mostly for videos and it's FULL of creepers.

I noticed since being here in the states, though, that most Adult stores are warehouse type buildings which gives it a seedy feeling. Although there was an exception when we were in Vegas...that was like adult store heaven!
We've moved, recently, and I couldn't even tell you where our nearest adult store is. I've no need to find out now I have Eden Fantasys to help me spend all my money.
