Yay! Then again, I'm really hardly politically inclined so I don't have much of an opinion outside of the fact that she gives me the heebie jeebies.

Eh, but we'll still see her face all over the news anyway.

One friend on FB said: "And she should stop making movies too - I saw 'Who's Nailin' Paylin?' and she's an awful actress." The sarcasm factor was hilarious ...

I'm disappointed. She would've caused fun chaos.

Staunch conservative here - but I did NOT want her to run.

I wish people would stop demonizing her. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed - but if you look at the Obama pole on EF - he's loosing - so he turned out to be no where near as good as people 'hoped'.

The problem is your either evil incarnate or a media darling. Part of Obama's problem is that the media raised huge unachievable expectations for his presidency. Obama was happy to leverage the blind adoration during the election - but he's simply not up to delivering the goods.

We need to stop hoping and vote for the governor of a large state that has done some good things. Governors are executives - Senators are just political hacks with a knack for reelection.

Finally, she realises she would be useless as President.
Even though I'm not American, we hear enough over here on those things.

I don't think you read it right. She has no doubt that she could be a good president. I think what she opted out of was the liberal media crucifying her and her family.

In the US we call it "Borking" - it's the practice of destroying someone's reputation by taking small things and distorting them way out proportion. It's like a sport here. The republicans did it to Clinton and the dems have done it many times to Robert Bork (hence the word Borking) Dan Quayle, George Bush and Sarah Palin.

Some politicians like Ronald Reagan and Obama seem to be 'Teflon' none of the bad stuff sticks. Mr. Obama's Teflon is wearing thin - but I suspect that he will survive the challenge - but by so small of a margin as to make him a lame duck on day 1 of his new term.

Think of it this way ... whenever someone disagrees with her, corrects a false statement of hers, or she doesn't get her way, she throws a temper tantrum and Tweets about it and calls people names. Do we really want someone that emotionally hot-headed to have their finger on the nuke button or negotiating a treaty?

We hear all that nuke-button tripe about Reagan - he was such a 'cowboy' an idealog - after all who coined the phrase evil empire? Reagan stationed nukes in Europe because the Soviets had built up a huge cache of tanks and nuclear-tipped artillery in Eastern Europe. Off course the doves in Western Europe were aghast that we would try to protect them.

But the strength Reagan showed did not result in a war - but the fall of the Soviet empire. It takes a strong personality to be an effective president.

The same is true of our current enemies - the world is not a nice place full of people who want to 'get along'. You can't be milk-toast like Carter and get any respect. Being the president is about projecting power - next time you vote, vote for the more powerful personality - not the nice guy/gal.

It doesn't even matter. She most likely wouldn't have been chosen as the Republican candidate because I think most people are fully aware of her stupidity. And even if she would have made it to the presidential election, she would have easily lost to Obama.

Im kind of both it doesent matter and im relieved.

Heres why..

Nobody in their right mind would be behind putting her on a ballot because she is a lunitic.

Hence the it doesent matter.

However if she did get on the ballot some how...

Hence the Whew LOL

I think talking about politics is the least sexy topic for discussion. Having said that, I agree that I would rather not have Sarah Palin as my president, but I wouldn't mind giving her an angry bone jumping!

The thing that really gets me going about the Palin presidency thing is that she raised millions with her PAC by tweeting for donations to help her decide whether to run, and can now pocket the money. Legally.

PACs are responsible for funding most of the ridiculous shenanigans we're seeing in politics these days. They're more stupid and less ethical than she is. And that says something.

Same, though I'd probably choose New Zealand. Or Canada. People make fun of Canada, but really it's pretty much just like the US, except a lot more chill Good enough for me!

Every time someone gets elected from a political party that they don't prefer, there's noise about moving overseas - but of course no one does. Stop kidding yourself, you'll just grumble and get on with life.

It's not like she would have been voted in anyway. -_- She didn't run because she knows she'd lose terribly.
