I got fired from the PTO for being too sexy

Contributor: AngelvMaynard AngelvMaynard
I was fired today from my PTO post because my writings are too sexy! I laughed so hard when I left the meeting I almost pee'd myself. If you'd like to check out the story, of course I wrote about it at my site!

Parent Teacher Organization.

I think it's BS that you got fired over a personal blog. What you do in your private time is nobody's business. However, I have been seeing this happen more and more now that people have blogs, Facebook accounts, etc.

Well, we all know how you want to corrupt the students with your perverted agenda of real education.

Thought PTO was Power Take-Off for a minute.

Being fired from the Parent-Teacher Organization for your personal life doesn't seem to make any more sense, though... dang.

Oh, geez. And here I was just the other day wondering how you deal with this kind of stuff. I've heard a lot of people are black listed from things once it's revealed they dare educate people on how to have better sex.

Laaaaaaaaame! That you were fired from doing a fantastic job because other mothers were uncomfortable with you being open and out there. Unless you were shoving your blog in the face of small children, which let's face it, doesn't seem like something you'd do to begin with, then I call shenanigans!

I hope you told them where to shove it when they wanted you to keep pulling all the workload.

This just goes to show how society still cannot accept the fact that everyone is having sex, and that healthy sex with a loving partner is actually quite wholesome. That's sad, and unfortunately it isn't very surprising. LAME!

I also thought of "Harper Valley PTA"! Your blog is very articulate, and somehow (I don't know how you did it) cool headed and not reactionary. Pretty amazing. I hope they all read that (and I am SURE they will all do so and probably will continue to check your blog just to have something to gossip about!)

The funniest part is the same people that freak out when a strip club opens up in their neighborhood or a PTA member has a sex blog, are the same people that secretly patronize strip clubs or shame-facedly answer their doors to collect a package from Edenfantasys or a similar website. THAT is the irony. They squawk like idiots about it, but they're probably more fixated on sex than any dancer in a bar or blogger from Eden. Sad.

Wow, that's terrible. I'd like to think they'll see the error of their ways, but I know that's unlikely.
Maybe they'll see your post on here, a few are probably members.

Thanks all you guys! It was so crazy is was funny. They completely shot themselves in the foot. I write for a local magazine and the editor has already picked up what I wrote and has emailed it to the county. I have a lot of reach when I want to. The problem is, and as I clearly stated with them today. I never apologize for what I write or do. I'm proud of it and absolutely love to do it. If someone has issue with it don't read or watch it. But more of the people in that room could quote what was on my site better than I could which just shows they were reading it often and more than once. They all got chopped at the knees in their arguments, because they had none and the "people" who had the problem with me never would come forward and just tell me. So I left them hanging and trying to figure out what to do. Wiped my hands clean and am moving on to write a dual use vibrator review for you lovely people
Thanks for all the support guys! I knew some of you would get a kick out of it.

Wow, this is unbelievable... I mean, I totally can see it being done. It's almost like something from a sit-com. Sometimes I wish I was a lawyer, just so you one could throw it back at them.

Crap like this is one of the reasons I no longer participate in PTA/PTO. The first year I decided to try and be active, I went to a meeting where the principal announced that a new low-income apartment building had been zoned for our school. The PTA secretary let out this big huffy sigh and rolled her eyes at this announcement. This kind of classist attitude was a total turn-off, and especially inconsiderate (how could she know whether some of us at that meeting were low-income??).

Sadly it is their loss.

I am curious, though...if you were the PTO president, who asked you to step down? The principal?

Yes! The principal and the 2 vice-principals. The other side of this story is that I am actually the only member/officer that was active. One of my very best friends was acting as the VP because I basically roped her into doing it with me. She immediately quit. So now they have NO PTO. They would rather have no PTO than have me run it. My friend said, "They would rather have No PTO than have a Ho PTO!" Cracked me up! I had Chick-Fil-A lined up to sponsor the school all year and GameStop had agreed to donate and sponsor a video game competition fund raiser with no overhead in the winter. All that sponsorship and participation walked out the door with me.

Okay, having been thinking on this for a day, I have failed to come up with something calm and collected. Instead, I still have the same reaction that I first had. And it's something I'd rather not reiterate in polite society!

But I would like to commend you, though, for having more restraint in your blog than I would have had.

Point taken, Miss?Debauchery, but at least post it from the original artist - Jeannie C. Riley - or someone else who, unlike Loretta Lynn, knows the song well enough so she doesn't have to sing it from cue cards and knows where to put the sarcastic tones.

Anyone can read. And many can apply tonal qualities to what they are reading. Go to any karaoke bar to prove my point.

It takes an artist to render a song properly and to communicate its meaning well.

Loretta was ill-prepared to perform this number.
