I know! And all the interviews I saw with people pissed about it just made me pissed....excluding any group from scouting is shameful.

While it's a positive step forward, it's still not enough. The vote only received 61% support to allow gay scouts. Gay scout leaders are still not allowed. I'm sorry, but I will not support the Boy Scouts until this is changed. I do not want my children to learn that it's okay to discriminate for any reason whatsoever.

I didn't realize this was still an issue, but i've never been very interested or connected to the boy scouts or the girl scouts. I'm really glad things are changing but this is super disappointing, young boys shouldn't have this sort of discrimination forced on them, no one should.

Exactly. So now gay youth can be in the Scouts, but once they get their Eagle and grow up they are no longer welcome. Makes no sense.



I heard about this the second it came out. My fiancé was following it closely.
