L.A. Makes Condom Use Mandatory for Porn Performers

So apparently if you are filming a porn in the city limits of L.A., you are now required to wear condoms while filming. (Just read on Xbiz).

Condom use in porn can become a bit of a hot button issue, but I wanted to know what you guys think of the situation. Are you for condoms being mandatory in all porn? Do you support this new law? Why, or why not?

From what I've been seeing on Facebook, a lot of porn will now be shot outside the city limits.

I don't really watch porn, so I do not really care if the actors protect them selfs or not. I as suprised that OHSA has not jumped on this issue yet. I bet the ALF-CIO will jump in and try to stop it under freedom of speech.

I'm not sure how it's protected under freedom of speech, but hey ho.

I'm all for this, though it does seem superfluous since major companies have rules to have their actors regularly screened for STDs and have them on some form of birth control. I suppose this is for the smaller studios and amateur ones that don't have such rules in place.

I just don't like it. While I support condoms in porn, I feel like this is an attack on artistic expression* and a lame attempt to make a fantasy industry "set a good example" for the viewers at home instead of educating the viewers while they're, say, in your damn public school systems.

It seems better to require up-to-date testing and crack down on those exposing people to needless risk. :/

And teach sex ed in school.

Two-way for me. I support condoms in porn, for the performers sake. But selfishly speaking, I'd prefer to watch them go at it without, condoms take away some of that erotic feel to the act.
