I was just reading this article about a Porn Controversy going on at Princeton, involving a group who wants to talk about sex and screen porn, and a group of feminists who wanted to shut it down. Check it out.

That's very interesting. The group seems more opposed to the screening than to a discussion of pornography which they even admit to supporting. I wonder how they expect to properly discuss how women are portrayed in porn if they aren't comfortable enough to even watch it. I'd like to see how this turns out.

It's only cute and cuddly til you read the comments this editorial gathered when it was published as a guest editorial on The Prince link.
Then? It just becomes one gargantuan headache. Do these people even watch porn? Or do they just read articles bashing porn and take that to be the truth? Also, you have to love how they keep throwing their vocabulary around. I try to be open-minded, but it's hard to "hear" most of the comments as anything more than pompous and self-inflated.
By the by, totally unrelated tangent: How cool would it be to have a self-inflating sex doll? Or inflatable sex furniture? Huh? Huh?!

So a group of feminists who want the full rights to do , be and say anything granted to all women and the way they will go about this is to stifle free speech about a topic that needs to be discussed? WOW...self inflated egos abound.
I am still looking for an inflatable octopus for Sigel's newest girlfriend. She smells like strawberry and has eight "love holes" waiting to be filled with some tentacle porn. Add that to some self inflating furniture and we'd have our own porn for feminists to protest! MUAHAHAHA!

At first glance this article perplexed me? Feminist fighting against open minded discussions, it seemed out of character, though I guess generalizing the mindset of a group doesn't help.... Any way! After reading the first few paragraphs & some of the comments, which I swear to myself I would never do. it became increasingly frustrating. I hope they forge head with their "immoral" viewing of pornography; the conversations thereafter would be amazing to listen in on!
Oh and I learned a new word today Axiom, I’m going to use it in a sentence, I’m not sure how yet but I’ll figure it out

Ditto to Cynthia. The comments are frustrating and no I don’t think any of these critics have watched porn. My exposure is little to none on porn and can say what I have seen I can understand causing controversy. But who am I to pass any judgment on a subject I know so little of. How can they possibly object to viewing segments of porn movies for discussion? Once again it’s a group of people telling us what we should think and feel based on their beliefs.

This whole thing seems 'confused' to me. Like if all of these people got together and talked for the greater good of understanding all the relative topics everyone would benefit from it.

Well, seems I am in Satan's den, even.
Not quite sure how I got here but as everyone here is complaining about how closed-minded and intolerant others are about your perversion, let's see if you can take it as well as you can dish it out.
The images that pornography project on the human brain alter the brain's perception of reality. Porn can easily become habit-forming. It has been shown that men who regularly view porn form an addiction that can devastate their lives comparable to drugs or any other addiction.
People who wish to maintain a strong grip on reality understand porn's addictive nature and do not engage in even the softest of porn because they understand that by it's nature of how it affects the human brain, they will eventually require more and more.
Once a porn addiction is firmly in place in your life, every other aspect of your life revolves around it until the lines are blurred between what is decent and acceptable and what is obscene and objectionable. You just truly won't be able to detect those subtleties anymore.
Once this line is blurred the door is open for possession. By now this person's entire life is consumed by porn. Getting more, seeing more, doing more, and it doesn't stop there.
Once porn possession has a firm grip on you, you not only want more but you want it more graphic, you want it more disgusting and you want even the porn that is taboo in a civilized society.
This is why we have such deviant sexual desires as bestiality, necrophilia, and pedophilia growing at alarming rates in our society today.
The demon who invades your mind and convinces you that pedophilia is okay is not the same one who told you that soft porn was okay. They are two different entities and they have separate purposes in your life once you let them in.
The soft porn demon leaves quickly after you have given in to those first perverse desires and when he comes back he brings in 7 worse than himself to tempt you into further perversity.(Matthew 12:44)
Some you will accept, others you will not, but the ones you accept will most certainly tempt you to try suffocation sex, necrophilia, etc, whichever one suits your fancy.
These demons will NEVER leave on their own. These will possess you, tempt you, until they finally destroy you. And that destruction will not end once you have been exposed in public - it won't end until you are in Hell.
There you will accept your demonic assignment to go forth and tempt the living with whatever brought you to Hell, but by then you won't care about the living because you will be dead.
You won't care about anything except preventing the torture you will receive if you fail to bring in your quota of souls. So you will follow the soft porn demon around and wait for your chance to sneak in and show someone the same soul-sucking garbage that condemned you.
And you will do this until the end of time.
Or you will stop and realize that this is the only life you will ever get and make a decision to turn it around. Make a decision to rebuke the demons who come against you in the name of Jesus. And when you rebuke them, they MUST flee (James 4:7). (Don't take my word for it, test it for yourself)
Make the decision to receive everlasting life free of demonic influences in Jesus's name. Amen.
