I am just curious as to how many people literally believe that a deity is watching them during intercourse with their partner and/or solo play. This poll is meant to give me some insight into how seriously people take the concept of omniscience and whether or not this belief affects their actions in the bedroom.
When you have sex do you believe that "God" is watching?

I'm not religious so I don't ever think about it. I'm curious about other people though! This is an interesting topic.

I'm agnostic so I don't think about it either.
08/23/2012
I'm not religious myself, I've never thought about it.

I believe that God is everywhere and pulling the strings behind the scene, but not that he is legitimately watching everything everyone does like some spy. I personally feel that he is there as a part of me when I have sex, the same way that he's there as a part of me when I brush my teeth.

I'm not religious, and I don't think about it.

I'm non-religious and so is my partner.
08/23/2012
I try not to think about it

I am not religious and believe that religion tells it's followers god is watching them so they'll be less likely to break religious rules in private

Heh, I think it's possible, but there's probably more exciting things for a god to be doing
08/23/2012
I definitely believe He's watching, but I don't actively think about it during sex.
08/23/2012
Im not religious.
08/23/2012
I'm not religious, and I don't think God has anything to do with our sex life.
08/23/2012
I'm not exceptionally religious, and this is not something I've ever really thought about.
08/23/2012
I'm fairly religious - but I don't really have an opinion on this question. We anthropomorphize God in a way that is I'm not comfortable with. God is not the gray bearded old man we see in pictures.
08/24/2012
Hmmm...Other? I'm single now, but I did have an experience in the past in which I felt like He was watching us get it on; it was quite AWKWARD to say the least.
08/24/2012
From what I've read of the bible, he seems to be a creepy old bastard, so if he was watching, it wouldn't be entirely out of character.

(1)I am personally offended by this
08/24/2012
It's funny you asked this! I don't really believe God himself is watching (he probably looks away). Now, I do worry sometimes that maybe my dead family members are watching which freaks me out. I always try and look away from my family pictures when I'm doing my business lol.
08/24/2012
I don't believe in God, so he can't be watching me have sex. If he is watching me, I hope he is enjoying the view! And one more thing...link
08/24/2012
I am agnostic, I don't believe necessarily in God and heaven, but believe in something after death. I believe in ghosts and spirits so I guess the could be watching if they wanted to
08/24/2012
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD - I'm sire he or she is used to it! Lol I'm not religious but I a, schizo affective and have voices interjecting often

never really thought about it
08/24/2012
I'm not religious, so I don't believe God is up there spying on my private life, nor does he care if he is up there. If God is up there and he truly didn't want us to have sex, he wouldn't have put 'adam and eve' on the planet. Just saying. lol
08/24/2012
I don't think God has eyes like we do so I don't think He's watching us in the usual sense. I do think He's aware when we have sex though...and everything else for that matter.
08/24/2012
I don't believe in God. The last poll option doesn't really apply to me though, because I've never thought about it and have no opinion on if/why religions tell their followers that.
08/25/2012
The concept of God goes way back in history and the way I see it was a means to explain that which was not understood (for some reason, our minds need that) and as a means to control the masses, sometimes in an attempt to inject morality, but usually just for the gains of a few.
If a God truly was watching you have sex, then I think the rules of religion, as written by men, are wrong.
