16 yr old Taylor Momsen and her vibrator...

So I was told about this happening, by my x of all people, and I thought.... who gives a fuck?? This girl is 16, midHollywood... and shes got a vibrator WhoopDiDooo! She was likely doing her best to shock people with this information... probably due to a lack of shocking coke use and drunk driving stories. I mean, come on, Drew Barrymore, "Americas sweetheart" was smoking pot at 10 and hooked on heroine by 16.... Wake up people, Hollywood breeds teen Screwups. I wouldn't even call a 16 year old with a vibrator, abnormal in regular society. Kids now are exposed to way more, way faster than any sane person should allow for their child. Especially in Hollywood. What do you expect?

Heh I say good for her...no time for boys but loves her vibrator! Hell I would MUCH rather my daughter be in love with her vibrator at 16 than having sex. Much safer and a vibrator isn't gonna break your heart or get you pregnant!

^ This. If I had a 16 year old kid (boy or girl) I'd be thrilled to hear of them using toys (or knowing they want to use them) and being safe about it and all, less stress for us all.

More power to that girl.

You know, after I had my response typed out, I realized it was almost exactly the same as yours, lol

Was it a jelly one?

Also, I had no clue who was until I looked her up.

I had my first sex toy when I was 16 also and I am your average sex toy addict so

I think its much safer for her than to engage in sexual relationships as others have mentionned above for the same obvious reasons.

Exactly! And forget about having to worry that she is out collecting STDs and endangering her life. Shes inside making herself happy! What an independent girl

Yep, I think it's pretty darn awesome. I was talking to my husband about that and he agrees he'd much rather our daughter do that then go have sex if she wasn't ready he was like "hell yea I'll even buy her a truck load of batteries!"

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering which one she has? LOL

I've never seen her act, but I've heard her sing with her band and they're pretty good. I've read interviews with her, and I dunno, I like her. I like her look and she seems fairly smart. And she just seems to be waving her middle finger (not literally) at most bullshit and I love that. She gives the impression she takes no shit of anybody.

I think it's great that she's open about using a vibrator and not having to rely on having a boyfriend.

If I ever have a daughter, she'll certainly have a vibrator at that age.

Maybe they should start up a vibrator for 2 dollars program in high schools. 1 dollar can go to the companies which supply them, and 1 can go to research for aids and other std treatments and cures.

Am I the only one that finds her a bit annoying? lol She always seems like she's trying too hard to be more "alternative" and that makes her seem a bit fake to me.

The interview quote: “Momsen does swear like a trooper,” interviewer Taylor Glasby writes. “She also grins when asked if she’s single, and replies that she is, that she’s not into guys, waits a beat, then adds she’s not gay but just bored of men and her best friend is her vibrator.”

I wonder why she felt the need to mention the vibe... For attention, maybe? lol I still think it's cool that she doesn't feel that she needs to have a guy in her life to get her satisfaction. The fact that her talking about her vibe in an interview caused so many people to freak out speaks volumes about how society still views masturbation and females, especially teenage girls.

A sixteen year old actor admits to masturbating? Slow news day, huh?

A sixteen year old actress masturbates?! What a filthy skank!

I'm right here with you. I don't really know who this girl is, nor do I care...but I find it very sad that our society still has a little bit of a spaz attack when young people (and females especially) express any semblance of sexuality.

I'd like to scream it at the top of my lungs, personally. And I've been open about my toys since I got MY first vibrator at sixteen. (My boyfriend gave it to me for Valentine's Day, hidden in a teddy bear. Romantic, right? LOL) All of my friends know that I review toys and ask me for advice often. People need to be more open to these things...It's so sad.

Could it be for attention? Possibly. Could she just like to talk openly about herself? Perhaps. Since I don't know I'm not going to judge.

I do agree regarding the part about how this shouldn't really be all that news worthy...I think it is pretty sad that there is such an uproar over a girl masturbating but unfortunately many people feel that a person should have NO sexual activity until they are over 18. Others also find that masturbating EVER is shameful and masturbation with a sex toy??? GASP! HOW HORRIBLE!

Honestly, I don't think the news is that she has a vibrator.... but that she is a young teen being overtly sexual and vulgar. As an adult, I don't find the need to give that much personal info because I don't need validation. I believe that is what the article is getting at.

Yeah but she is not an adult. I would have said something stupid like that at 16, in a heartbeat. My mother used to ask me what I was watching on tv, and I would tell her porn just to watch her doubletake. Sometimes it's just plain entertaining to watch people have way over the top reactions to things that are so simple and common.

I did not know who this girl is either until I read about her. And even then I had to look up what she was from. I don't know about you guys, but I think at 16 most of us are still figuring out who we are as people, and part of the way that we do that is testing boundaries and trying to play cool. Luckily most of us probably chose our own brand of cool instead of whatever seemed to be going around at the time.

yes, but as she obviously thinks her actions make her appear more adult, rather they indicate she is not quite mature. The real question is... who is monitoring this girl? While my parents weren't overly controlling, if I were to attempt to leave the house completely inappropriately dressed or acting-out in a fashion that suggested harm may come to me or my reputation could be permanently tarnished, they would step-in. As is a parents job and moral obligation.

I never heard of her before either... and I think your observations are right-on. I just meant that I didn't think the article was putting down sextoys or, or even an underage girl's right to use them, but rather her actions and attitude in general. I know we tend to be very protective our toys, but I don't think that is what this is about.

This girl is completely off my radar, might be that I don't pay much mind to girls under the age of 18... well I don't pay much mind to anything thats not in direct relationship to stuff I am interested in. I was like- who is she? then I found out she was Cindy Lou who.

Who really cares what she does is the way I feel about it, its safer for her to have a vibe, but I don't see why she should be speaking about it in public, I guess I don't really care much either.

This girl just seems rebellious... when I looked the name up the first few things that came up :Taylor Momsen blames parents for over work as a child"

Yeah, I read about that.

"Everyone’s like, ‘Wow, why is she upset and why is she so miserable about things?’ My parents signed me up with Ford [modeling agency] at the age of two. No two year old wants to be working, but I had no choice. My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn’t have friends. I was working constantly and I didn’t have a real life."

What do you guys think of this video? Start at 1:20 and pay close attention at about 1:26.

Jeeeez, I need to stop clicking so many time-wasting links, lol.

I dunno, don't really give a fuck what she does. I'm rarely surprised by anything anybody does. I flashed people when I was a teenager. I would drink with my friends and then we would wander around and every once in a while somebody might get flashed. I once flashed a cop who was in the middle of writing somebody a ticket, I was probably 17. So I am probably a bad person to ask about this.

My mom used to be insanely protective, If I was at my neighbor/friends house and it had started getting dark out, my mom would require me to call her before I came home so she could send my father outside to watch me walk between the two houses. .... I lived like kiddy corner to her on the street. She also used to make me write my name and phone number on my hand in permanent marker when I was going to a friends out of town. Just in case something happened and I needed to be identified. She also refused to buy me a razor to shave my legs with, however she did buy them for my brothers. She seemed to be of the opinion it is more socially acceptable for women to have hairy legs and pits, then for men to have a hairy face. I asked her if she was living in France. It was stuff like this that pissed me off and made me want to rebel.

Considering the fact that she IS a celeb though, she will probably end up with some fucked up stalker, and will likely settle down once she realizes that her actions are having negative consequences on her life. It's unfortunate that it will likely take something shitty happening to shock her out of her bad behavior, but some people just need to learn the hard way. Myself included.

A 16 year old who masturbates?! OH NOOOO! What will we do!? :p
I say good for her. I think the legal age to buy sex toys in the US should be lowered from 18 to 15. After all, if they have better access to toys, maybe we will finally see a decrease in those dreadful shows like Teen Mom!!!!

I was married and having sex at 15 so I really dont see a problem with a 16 year old having a vibe. Better that than being promiscuous at her age.
