Quite interesting, although speculations in the article of its intended purpose aside, mankind has always made representations of the genitals since s/he found them. The power associated with the phallus in early man's psychology is an impressive thing - it hangs out there so it's seen all the time, gets hard, feels great when it's used, and it's attached to the most active members of the tribe who hunt and fight and all.

Hmmm...interesting leap all the way around. Of course humans have used sex tools and such. Rome was littered with them. Considering there is absolutely no scientific evidence in the article, the only feature that points to a phallus is the curvature at the one end.

Not that I don't appreciate the attempt to drive home the idea that sex, toys, and exploration is more about pleasure than procreation from the get-go.
