A couple got arrested for having sex on the beach. Apparently they went at it for over 1/2 an hour in view of 50 people - I wonder what prompted them to finally call the police? Especially if it was in view of children, I can't believe they had sex as long as they did.

Only in Florida will we end up on News of the Weird twice a day - I think because we don't have public mental health care.

(I hope they had a wonderful time cleaning sand out of places they never knew they had.)

The version of the story I found said it was heavy petting for most of the 30 minutes. People didn't dial 911 until the couple started to have intercourse. I can only think the pair was completely drunk to have done something so stupid.

Yea for real! Surely if they were that bothered or offended they would'nt have waited so dang long! That's crazy. They shoud've called immediately when they reaized it was happening rather than wait until they'd gotten a good view before calling!

What time was the incident? In daytime, in front of a packed beach, or nighttime, and they were in front of a large hotel party? Because the latter is fair enough.

Crowds and beaches are two things I'll never mix with sex. I'm not normally too worried about germs, but there are a lot of bacteria and parasites to be found in sand. Harmless enough to the skin (normally), but it could get real ugly if those things got in through your naughty bits. And crowds... I hate crowds. I hate being watched. Dunno how this couple decided it was a good idea.
