I can see people's issue at first, but in all honesty I think it is a bit ridiculous. I think it is amazing Sasha Grey wanted to help a worthy cause, and to be turned down is such ignorance. While I sympathize with companies that do need to worry about their public reputation to such an extent, I think denying certain people the opportunity to contribute is an injustice to everyone. There will always be something about someone that you don't agree with, but cooperation does not have to mean accepting, or even condoning another person's actions. Why can't we just respect each other enough to put differences aside in the name of progress and charity?

As far as kids are concerned, she's just a lady reading a book to them. They won't know or care otherwise.

If they don't know or care who she is, then that's because the parents didn't tell them. As they shouldn't if the kids are that young. Absolute worst-case scenario is that the kids ask what she does, and the parents tell them she's an actress in a movie that's only for grownups. Kids will probably just think it has dirty words.
