I know many people either love it or hate it and I can understand why. But lately after absolutely loving it I can't seem to sum up even a little interest in it and that leads to it hurting - which makes the vicious circle of no anal keep going and going and going.

Can I ask if you changed partners? I'm incredibly fond of it with someone. Not with someone else. It can be great, but technique and position actually do matter.

hmm no my partner and I have been going strong for 3 years now and have enjoyed a lot of anal - it just suddenly stopped.

As far as loving it, then losing interesting - I am with you there. Anal used to be our go to (when we were using condoms) and now we haven't done it in, maybe, a year. I feel a little guilty but it just never feels like the right time.

I personally enjoy it on a regular basis by that I mean once a week and most of the time only during DP. Whether it's my husband and a dildo at the same time or two dildos the most important thing is being properly prepped. A good anal clean out with an enema or bulb with warm water works just fine. Also important things to remember are plenty of lube, good communication with your partner and take things slow until you are completely relaxed and opened up. For me the more I do it the easier it becomes and I guess that has to do with training, relaxing and stretching the anal muscles. Just let things fall into place you'll know when it's time for another try.
