Developing feelings for a new boyfriend question...

Contributor: edeneve edeneve
within the 3 1/2 months I was dating a guy, I found I was developing feelings for him after 1 1/2 or 2 months. it's not love I know that for sure. I'm not sure what I could be feeling other than fondness. but somehow it feels like it's more than that.

if you have had a similar experience & were able to identify those specific feelings you experienced, please share so I can make sense of this.

I've already spent quite a bit of time thinking about this & am unable to find an answer, hence, my desire to hear from others about a similar experience.

Maybe a mix of infatuation and attachment? I don't think it's too important to specifically identify the feeling -- more just realize it's the next step in the relationship.

I was different with my current relationship (of almost 10 months). I was abroad, so I looked at the relationship as just an abroad thing and didn't really allow myself to develop really deep feelings, even though I was spending every day with the guy. I bottled up all my frustrations. It wasn't until I came clean about my frustrations (after 7 months) and saw that he was most definitely willing to change for me that I just fell for him in a matter of 2 weeks. We say we love each other -- I don't know what love is though, so I can't tell for sure. But I do know I have a strong attachment.

good point about attachment - hadn't thought about that.

I would agree - attachment or infatuation probably fit the best.

Could it be you like his company ? Since there is no hurry, time will tell.If you are happy then that is good for something. Hope all goes well for you.

Google Limerence.
In my experience it is simultaneously euphoric and torturously depressing.
Though to some degree, I actually miss the visceral feeling that it evoked.
