The crazy hours might be an issue for some, but I'm sure there are plenty of quality guys that are bartenders. As previously stated, I don't think you can judge a person just based on profession. Also, you're assuming every bar is the same. Not every bar is a seedy college bar with half naked teenage girls as patrons. We frequent some very nice upscale pubs and such where the barkeeps are equally as classy.
