I have a tendency to collect little things like ticket stubs and birthday cards. So I have a lot of momentos of past relationships. I wonder who else keeps these things. Or if they throw them away. Or burn them.

My first boyfriend and I broke up mutually and peacefully, and are still friends. In that context, yes, I still have a few small gifts (like plushes and books) he gave me laying around. I guess it depends on the circumstances.

I used to, but it bothered my ex husband so it was all burned. I have things from my previous marriage because they have to do with my children, but I don't have anything beyond what has to do with my children.

I have somethings from previous relationships mostly clothes,purses,stuffed animals and things like that. Pictures usually get burned.

There are a few small things that I've kept, like jewelry a friend made for me when he was learning to sculpt metal, phots taken by a couple of photo majors, a scarab bead. My favorite is a little cat skull given to me by a boy too shy to ask me out.

I don't keep momentos, but I do keep things that were gifts if I don't consider them a sentimental item.

Damn, I voted before I saw the "some of them" option. There are those that were sweet, and I would feel wrong throwing certain mementos away. With others, I wanted to rid myself of all reminders right away; still others for whom I'm still finding things and making myself toss them.

There are very few things i still have from ex's, if any actually, since i think much got thrown out in my move a few years back. I tend to collect things like, ticket stubs and letters, without much though. There are a few other things i know i had at one point in time, such as a birthday card and some jewelry.

I have two shirts an ex bought for Christmas & my birthday and I'm still friends with him so I keep them around. It's a present from a friend, not so much a boyfriend anymore though.

I have kept a few things. It really depends on the relationship and who it was. I have tried to get rid of as much as possible from my last ex. But I still have a few things from my high school sweetheart.
Some of those things I admit I still have because I don't know what else to do with them. Some of them I have kept for sentimentality. One of the things I've kept on purpose is a drawing he did of me. Y'know the cliche from Titanic "Draw me like one of your French girls?" Well...he did. And he's the only man I ever dated that actually has the artistic ability to do something like that. It's special.

I only kept a couple that I would feel bad throwing away. I never look at them or use them for anything though (like one thing is a necklace charm, and I would never wear it now). I guess I should throw tham away.

Personally I still have two things that I kept from my first serious boyfriend. He was my best friend before I asked him to be my boyfriend and it was a really happy time for me so I keep the things he got me as a memento of that. He's the only one I've ever kept something after the relationship ended.

I still wear a necklace that an ex boyfriend gave me for my 16th birthday. I got so used to wearing it that I just never stopped.
