honestly no matter what site you decide to go with i think its best to play it safe for a while and then when you feel comfortable enough to go further then and only then should you take the next step. it can get frustrating weeding through the losers but be patient and you may just find someone worth taking that chance with.

Hi, I've used Plenty of Fish exclusively and found a wonderful woman. That said, I think experiences are wildly different for men than for women.
Yes, you have to sort through all the booty call requests but we have to craft hundreds of witty, relevant and customized introductions to women - while hoping it makes it through the clutter of booty calls.
Wish it were as easy as saying "HI" to a cute woman in the grocery store. I really tried, but damn it, you women just don't look up from the lettuce long enough.

Well, I'm happy to report that, after several attempts, I found a woman I'm dating. The site we met on is for people with herpes. And, that was the first dating website I tried that I put that I was looking for a woman. Having herpes complicates things with non-infected people, though, I will say, that the men i did disclose to, didn't have an issue with me having it. Especially since I was with my ex husband for 12 yrs and never gave it to him.
Anyway, dating someone with the same thing I have, and we've both had it for a long time now, makes things a lot easier, and we're more sympathetic if one of us has an outbreak.
So, the online dating, for me, so far, has been a success. I hope others respond to this, and let us know their experiences as well!!

I think I've signed up to at least 40 (some even international site) and only about a handful, probably not even that, 3 at best have been any good and those were run by people living 50km-150km away from were I live.

When I was actively looking for a partner I had the best luck having men ask me out on OkCupid. They have a nice platform that allows you to talk about yourself, what you want, what your future goals are.

I met my fiancee, one of my other partners (we're poly) and a lot of my friends on OkCupid. I've not only met a lot of really cool people on there, but I have a lot of friends who have had luck there as well

I'm a very shy man and its hard for me to meet woman. I have used plenty of fish and okcupid. I have meet several woman from each site and have been in one serious relationship from each site so 2 in total. If I can have some luck with the way I'm shy and nervous I'm sure you will have luck. Those are the only 2 sites I've tried. I actually had trouble in the beginning. I asked for help on this very site eden about what should I write on my profile and the woman on here where very helpful and then I started getting a lot of responses after messaging woman after getting help on this site. Write what you have on your dating profile on here I'm sure the ladies and men would let you know if something needs to be changed, removed, or maybe something is missing that should be added etc. Goodluck!
