Yes, and is still going strong. LDRs are not for everyone. They only last if people have the strength and determination to keep it going. If one person starts throwing in the towel, then the relationship ends.

I had one in college - it was quite an adventure, but it only lasted about 1 year.

I had one significant one with an ex-fiance. You guessed it, he screwed around and no, it did not last.

I had one with an ex who lived about an hour and a half away. My new bf just moved four hours away, but he's looking for work closer to me.

I am in a long distance relationship right now (different countries). Due to distance, he and I are both "open". So far it works out okay for us, but I must admit that it's not easy being away from him.

I'm about to be in a long distance relationship. Not too long distant, but he's moving about an hour away.

In the beginning, we met on a message board and lived 1100 miles apart. We chatted at first and then talked on the phone. 16 months later we met in person. Several plane trips later, I moved in with him. 18 months later, we were married. Now we've been married almost 6 years. So, it works for some of us!
