Is that bathroom door still sacresanct once you have been intimate?

Once you have made love to a new dating partner, do you still feel the need to be private in the bathroom? Have you ever had a new lover just "walk in" on you, figuring "they have the right to be there"? How did you handle that? Do you do the walking in? Where does privacy "start" or "end" after youv'e had your face or body parts in their private parts???

Please share your feelings on this.

I don't have a new partner, but I can honestly say that my husband has never seen me in the toilet room. He refuses! Even if I try to open the door (which I do sometimes when he's in the bathroom just to mess with him) he'll walk out. We hide nothing, we have shared almost our entire adult lives together. He's seen me give birth to two babies. But he REFUSES to see me go to the bathroom!! Cracks me up!

Yes, the bathroom is off limits. Let's face it, there are things going on in there that shouldn't be shared, that's why the door is closed in the first place. It's just courtesy. I won't bother her in there, and I don't like it if I'm bothered. How important could it be, that it can't wait until I'm done?

The bathroom door is no big thing in our house. No one closes it (not even our son), unless we have company.

When I was growing up, it was nothing for me to see my mom getting dressed, or my dad getting out of the shower (I grew up in a one bathroom, 1000 sq ft house, with no A/C; there was no space for privacy and closed doors made for hot, stuffy rooms in the mid-west during the summer), so closing the bathroom door was something we just didn't think to do and that attitude has trickled over into my household, as an adult.

We share everything except restroom time! That's a doors closed and locked boundary for us!

That bathroom door is our boundary. There are just some things that shouldn't be shared.

we leave the door open if we are just peeing. But anytime you are doing a number 2, the door is closed. that is something that no one else wants to share with you.

If it's just the two of us home, sometimes we won't shut the door fully, but in general the bathroom door is the limit.
