Due to lack of trust in a previous relationship it has been hard to fully give myself to a new relationship. I know that everyone comes with something. How do I overcome this so it doesn't affected my sex life.

I don't know if I have any good advice, but what comes to mind is that yes, everyone comes with baggage. However, we can't live our lives in a state of being "shut-off" so we can't get hurt, because that means we can't love, feel happiness or true passion either. I guess you just have to give time to get to know the person first and decide they are worth the risk.

There's not really a way to 'get over' having a hard time trusting people. After going through high school and well.. just growing up, I have a hard time trusting people, family and friends alike. I've been fucked over too many times. My thing is, I don't hand trust out like candy, you have to earn my trust over time. You'll overcome the trust thing in time. Don't rush to trust sometime just for sex because in the end you might make things worse because you really didn't fully trust them.

We did talk about it I let him know how I was feeling which is important to be open. So we will work on that for our sake. I'm not rushing into sex because I don't believe in giving myself to just anyone. But thanks for the advice

you just have to work through it. thats really the only way to get passed or over something. its a process.
