Where do First Dates happen now?

Is the "meet me for a drink", or "meet me for dinner", still the average "first date"? Do you usually both MEET somewhere or do you have a "brand new" date pick you up from home and go together? Is there any "average" or "standard" first few date "activities" (ie. Movies, Dinner, Just Hanging Out...etc???).
