Where is the love?

Contributor: MissStormRyder MissStormRyder
Hi everyone
I am a bisexual woman, 26...soon to be 27 in a few days.
I have been dating both guys and girls since I was 16. While I do love having sex with women I prefer to date and have relationships men and would hope to one day be married...not holding my breath...L0L
I can't say that I have ever been in love with anyone I have dated and I'm starting to wonder why?? Is there something wrong with me?? Have I just not met the right person?
Should I be content with having meaningless sex with everyone?....it's usually great sex but still.

It takes time to find the right person that you 'feel right' with. Dating is merely a means of finding that person. And, believe it or not, you really are still young.

It took me until I was 33 (with a bad marriage under my belt) to find real love. It's totally worth it, hon. Give yourself patience ... they may show up when you least expect it.

I know I need to be patient...But it's hard when you see most of the people in your life in love, getting married and starting families. I have dated some great guys...a girls, but have never felt that "OMG...I'm in love" feeling...
Thanks for your thoughts!!!

I do know how you feel. Everyone my age already have their families going, but you simply cannot use their yardstick for your own 'Where I should be in my life now?' journey. It's very individual. What's important is that you're not going into it with expectations of 'where you should be'.

Love doesn't have to be the fireworks, roll in the sand, wine and roses type ... it can also be subtle and comfortable. As I said, I never experienced it until the past several months. You'll know it's love when every other relationship in your past falls and crumbles to dust, making you forget there was ever anyone else worthy of your soul and affection.
