When I'm in love I often put something down on paper. I guess these writings could be considered poems. I usually take a line or two from these writings to put on a card but rarely do I give my love the entire "poem".

I don't do poetry and didn't think I was that creative, but I recently met a girl and started writing Erotic Lit stories to her. I thought it was just an experiment to see if I could do it, but then I realized that a couple of them are more like epic love poems to her. And I recently created a PostSecret card for her that I have to try to get printed somewhere, but I did send it to her when it was finished.

So no to traditional poetry, but I do some creative stuff.

I wish I had the talent to write an actual song. I've made up songs for my husband before, but they were just silly little rhymes. I prefer drawing to writing.

Good poems above! I actually used to write poetry a lot. I did write a poem that was published a few years ago in Inspirations book. It wasn't for a lover though. It was actually a poem about a horrible experience I'd had as a teenager. I still have the book it was published in. I quit writing poetry and moved on to thriller stories and am currently going to school for writing! I graduate this year. I would love to read other's poetry though.

It's a song:

Penny Lane's commin' into the market,
And she's all dressed up in sparkles. Says,
"Cut me a cord of your finest baguette
And then tell me those things that I dare to forget.
You speak them so wisely to me,
And I fall for nothing but what's inside your eyes."

Yes, actually a number of them. I was a guitar toting hippy chick at one point in my life. (I had a couple of electrics, too. I appropriated my husband's Telecaster for my own deeds for years. Including full album on our 4 track recording machine.)

It's been a long time since I've even picked up my 12 string.

If you can legit describe what you're going to do to someone and make them imagine it just by hearing it. It's worth knowing how to do.

I wrote lots of sad poems about my boyfriend during a few months when we were broken up. He thinks they're beautiful now.

I've written some poetry for an ex while we were dating a long time ago. I haven't done that since though. They liked it, but I just don't write poetry anymore.

I have a whole journal of poems about love that none of my lovers have ever seen. They're awful. I'm pretty sure I'm somehow related to Vogons. link
