Erotica books being good foreplay

I love to read so I purchased a book last week just to have as a back up for when I finished one. It was titled SWAP. I was in a hurry when I was at the store so I didn't really read the back cover. I started it 3 days ago and I am now done with it. I have had some of the hottest sex with my lover and some pretty off the wall single sessions! Now I have read my share of steamy love stories but this was explosive! Reading in detail made me hot in so many ways that I couldn't wait to get my hands on myself or my lover!! I even had him read a few passages and it was a real turn on for him! I am now checking into other books like the one I just finished and do not plan on giving them up anytime soon!!
In the end I guess I am wondering if anyone else out there has had any similar experiences? And how far is too far when it comes to playing out the story?

I haven't experienced that myself, but I can certainly see why that would be so sexy! I haven't really introduced erotica books into my relationship with my guy because I'm a little nervous he won't be totally into it, but I would love to experiment with that. I don't think there really is a "too far" when it comes to playing out the story, as long as you feel good about the acts in the story- whats wrong with making the story come alive?

Erotica works like a thousand times better for me than porn ever could. I like to sneak and read it online while hubbs is doing something else so I can pounce on him and be ready to go. I haven't read them with him yet, but I usually share the basics with him if I want to act it out.

I find erotica to be very arousing. I like to read it all the time, not just before sex or solo sessions. I haven't read any with my partner yet though.

I'm also a big fan of erotica. Reading it does just as much if not more for me than porn, depending on my mood. I'm a total bibliophile.

I love certain kinds of erotica, mostly BDSM stuff. Sadly, after reading a passage from a book I love to my partner, he looked at me very oddly and said "that turns you on" like I was a freak or something, lol. He is coming around though, thank goodness

I have one book that is so completely dirty and naughty that even just thinking about getting it out of its secret hiding place to read makes me blush. Hot and heavy masturbating or sex sessions always follow. I think acting out the scenes is an awesome idea, so long as its consentual.
